I just have to mention, though, that some practice will be necessary to get into that sweet spot every time. I usually use a light hammer-on, or pluck an open string, with my fretting hand to start the first note, then adjust accordingly, and also that I need to press down a bit when the note is higher up the fretboard, but that might have more to do with my high action. So I am going to have to practice my technique a bit before this tool gets it's debut playing in front of anyone else.

Re: Quick Hit: TC Electronic AEON

For the bass, the challenge lies in the string spacing, and on my bass it's too wide for the aeon to rest on the neighboring strings. I can get mine to vibrate the string, but I need to keep it just so, and pay attention to holding it place.

Re: Tired of Pasted Text Messing Up Your Formatting? Weight, pack size, dimensions. these things would have saved myself a lot of work if they were stored within a QR code. To you it may be a few lines of textual data, To the real world, a week of filling out forms to get those items into the retailer's system,

Re: Are QR Codes Just A Fad? Both consumer, and retailer would be able to use the same tag in the way that suits them. the retailer would benefit all the way through the supply chain, and the consumer would be able to garner information at the Point Of Purchase (the shelf) all in one tag.

Re: Are QR Codes Just A Fad? [Opinion]

I remember the first time I encountered a QR code. It was on a shipping label, people didn't even have cameras or color screens on their dumb phones yet. QR will survive whether your pocket facebook updater uses them or not. so no, it's not a "fad"
You say it's not technically groundbreaking. You are right, but neither was the UPC bar code when it was finally adopted. Now go to a retail store and try to find something without a bar code. NFC is nothing new either. RFID has been around forever. and we used to be able to "bump" our palm pilots to trade information.
None of these things are new or faddish unless you narrow the scope to fickle app users. Will QR last in the smartphone world? Maybe, if the consumer finds a perceivable benefit and takes to it, and developers are able to integrate it more seamlessly, or combine it's use to create efficiencies.

Re: Winners Announced: 10 Promo Codes for Automata Up for Grabs

Thank You appstorm, and SoftColor.
