However, it's just like their claim that US based merchants selling digital products to EU customers are liable for VAT. The EU has no jurisdiction in the US, so there's no enforcement mechanism to back up their claim.

That said, I'm not a lawyer. And since our organization has a physical presence in the UK, we are doing all we can to comply with GDPR. I appreciate MailerLite being proactive with this issue.

Re: Would Jesus join #Resist?

I don't think it's as simple as, "keep my Lord out of politics." It's true that Jesus' kingdom is not of this world. At the same time we believers do have a responsibility to actively pursue manifesting his Kingdom in the world around us.

Why else would Jesus have responded the way he did when the disciples asked him to teach them how to pray like he does? "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven..."

If we are to be praying for the Kingdom of God to manifest and for God's will to be done on earth just as it is in heaven, then how can it be wrong to attempt to influence the direction of government towards policies that line up with what Jesus said the Kingdom of God is like?

I realize no earthly government will ever do things perfectly. But they sure can do a great many things better than they are. Besides, the main problem we have today is that the church effectively retreated inside the four walls of the church house and left the culture to it's on devices. Is it any wonder our culture is such a mess when the church refuses to be the salt and light that we are called to be in the world?

Re: The World—Better or Worse? | Charis Bible College

Actually the truth we never hear reported in the news is that in many measurable ways things are far better for much of the world than they have ever been. When I first heard you had joined Ford I remember wondering if a big company like that would be able to embrace a listening/dialog approach to social media that you are passionate for. Fortunately they did embrace your approach and as a result we were all able to see how fruitful it could be for them.

Re: Robert W. Their covenant was basically "if you do these actions, you will see these results - both blessings and curses." (See Deuteronomy 28 for a huge list of blessings and curses.)

Our covenant is entirely based on the work of Jesus. He is the fulfillment of the law. Once we believe in our hearts that he was raised from the dead and actually say out loud that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9-10) then we get Jesus' righteousness put in our account. It's as if we are constantly fulfilling all the points of the law just like Jesus did, regardless of our actions.

Our faith in Jesus entitles us to all the blessings and exempts us from every curse under the law. However, if we go back to the "Egypt" of keeping rules, such as the Sabbath, looking for a blessing then we fall back under the Old Covenant of the Law. (Galatians 2:18-20)

All that to say it's not about keeping the Sabbath so much as it is resting in the Lord. Rest is a good thing for sure. We have this overwhelming tendency towards striving. Jesus said his yoke is easy and his burden light. We forget that and make it way harder than it needs to be. Sometimes though it can almost be an effort to stop striving and rest in Christ.

Re: Feb. 29th New Facebook: 6 Things you Need to Know

I think the lists feature will be my favorite change once I have the time to go through and assign my friends to different lists. But a person's time is. What surprises me is right in line with another of your observations. Before last week Twitter was the service I engaged with the most. Now I find my time being split between G+ and Facebook. Twitter is getting the short end of my time, mainly because I'm seeing more engagement and conversations on G+.

if you had asked me before I started on G+ I would have been sure Facebook would be the one I neglected first. Twitter should be very concerned.

Re: Google Sparks – Great for Surfacing and Promoting Relevant Content

Heya Robyn! The issue isn't service, but attitude. We've brought up a generation with an entitlement mindset. They don't understand that liberty comes with a price. Refuse to pay it and it slowly slips away. Forcing them to put on a uniform will only breed resentment and reduce the effectiveness of our military.

Re: What did you want to be when you were a kid?

Gorgeous was a veterinary technician and worked in zoo medicine (at places like Bush Gardens) for 20 years.
