It really is a shame how much it's fallen over the past year and a half. Six Apart is still doing well enough, I suppose...I guess they just shifted their manpower away from Vox and onto newer platforms?

Back when I was in high school, I would send in these terrible (and I do mean terrible) stories to magazines in the hopes of getting published. I collected the rejection letters because they made me feel like a real writer :)

LOL I didn't make that comment about kissing cousins. I don't agree with it either...I just think it's sad that states are willing to have cousins marry each other (which I think a good majority still consider taboo), but will not grant same-sex marriage.

My mother is Italian and English is her second language. She has excellent grammar and spelling, but every once in awhile she will misspell one word while the rest of the sentence is perfectly constructed. It happens. Considering the level of hilarity this blog usually posts, I just think this is a dumb post to snark on.

And yes, I do know that the submitter is using a different version of Facebook. Notice how I didn't use that in my original comment to support my view.

I understand that the Latin was sent in by the submitter. I'm just hesitant of automatically making fun of people when they misspell words because my own mother worked very hard learning English when I was growing up. And sometimes she would have a perfectly constructed sentence otherwise, but one word might be misspelled! That's why I default to that point of view when I read posts like these.

I think your site is hilarious and I read it daily, and I'm certainly not a "troll" like the other users below were suggesting. Just wanted to speak up :)

Ohhh noooo, lol. First, why would she post something like that when her friend is on her FL, unless she's just being incredibly passive-aggressive? I used to do the same thing when I was little...I would tell my parents something and unintentionally leave out an important fact...I would get in so much trouble when I did!
