Yeah, data security in *almost all* sectors is less of a priority than it should be. It seems that no matter how many high-profile hacks take place, security remains a low priority for most people and organisations.

Google handles this in Android through Google Play Services being updated separately from the core OS. No-one's saying it can be done overnight but Apple needs to move in that direction.

The point is that Android is structured in a way that makes single app updates simple and background services patchable with updates to Google Play Services. Apple needs to move in that direction.
