I'm glad you mentioned gift basket deliveries in your post, Lenise, as the gift basket industry is experiencing an increase in orders for local delivery and shipping. Wow, kudos for this superb presentation from Megan McMullin. So many ideas blossomed for me that I plan to watch this (or at least listen while working) again to document all of the social opportunities available to put into place. Jeff, your insight on GDPR forced me, in a positive way, to clean my analytics account the moment I entered the area. I saw numerous web domains that I no longer own and immediately deleted those accounts. That freed me to focus on changing the data retention choices for the domains most important in my business. It was a very good exercise and, as you mentioned in the past within a response comment, one good reason for the GDPR rule.

You're covering this topic very thoroughly, Jeff, which I appreciate. What I've done so far to be GDPR compliant is research the tools I'm using within my sites and crafting my own site policy as it applies to my visitors and the collected data which I continue to edit. I've also installed a cookies plugin for notification.

There's lots of attention around this compliance that reminds me of the "update your computer for the 1999 change or else" hype that occurred at the end of 1999. That fizzled out, but lots of companies made money around that scare, right?

I wanted to ask you about this topic when initially receiving Google's email, Jeff, but knew you were proactive and would create information via video, and it's appreciated. I will not opt out of tracking.

How has this latest global change affected your time table for updating the Google Analytics program, or has it not affected your time table (if there is one), or perhaps there is no need yet to update the program? I am a subscriber who needs to review the content once again, which I enjoy immensely.

Jeff, I found your 96th podcast episode to be highly insightful, asking questions that one must look into a mirror and ask themselves before starting what seems to be fun but really is work. My industry is a popular, yet narrow niche, one that offers no podcasts. I considered starting one. However, there is a lot of work involved in terms of equipment, editing, uploading, iTuning, etc. I'm already writing, speaking, online teaching, and in-person and video demonstrating. I believe I've made the right decision to not add podcasting, specifically because of the time and financial commitment you mention. I appreciate your candor and wish you well as you reach your 100th podcast.

Like you, Jeff, Vimeo is my go to for video hosting. I've found their service to be quite satisfactory.

I also agree with your cons regarding Vimeo, but I wonder about the piracy you've experienced. You add branding to your videos. When pirated, does the violator strip your branding off the video, or does something else occur that strips your ownership?
