Wow I think I would use it for a few things. Like the idea of a media player. But also think that a security setup would be awesome with some iot in it, switching lights off from a warm bed in winter. I could also imagine using it with my children and setting up a near space balloon with a cam. What a great real time learning setup, could get some other kids involved also. Well done afrihost on such a creative prize.

You did mention he was young? Looks like an old man now :). I saw a documentary of Allan Savory on 50/50 a few years back. It was amazing. His TED talk is also amazing http://www.ted.com/talks/al... I am with this man 100%.

Hello Heather, I have locked it down for now as I need to work on it a bit more. In a nut shell I want to teach the older generation how to use their computer nicely. How to facebook, how to email and skype. How to take pictures off their cameras and print them, store them on their machines and even put them on a flash dish to be able to take them to a photographic shop. A few mates can get together in a morning and learn this in their own environment.

Yip the workshop will show you all the tools and abilities of wordpress, we can set up authoring.
the subjects of the blog will be split up into categories with some tags for a dash of spice.
twitter and facebook intergration using widgets will be discussed.
RSS ahhh the key to all things web like (I love RSS) we will up with a much better understanding.
