While I don't agree with the DHS' approach for this. It makes sense to clear passengers on flights entering US Airspace and seems (probably) within their rights to do so.

For instance, it would be easy for a terrorist to bypass US security measures simply by boarding a plane crossing US Territory and hijacking it.

That being said, the risk of this is so minor and I believe the DHS' true benefits so minute that this should no be happening. Bu't see this as anything particularly outrageous in and of itself.

I'm focussing on keeping it simple and fast. I've got page load times down to around half a second with everything cached and about twice that with nothing cached. I want it to feel like you're reading it on your local machine (since these static pages can be cached so heavily).

At least one problem with the iPhone OS (unless interface elements are moved around) is that they appear to have spent a LONG time perfecting the UI for the specific size of the iPhone and (I believe) this would not translate well to a larger size screen. I think they could use the underlying parts of the OS but the interface would have to be changed to make sense for a 10" screen.

I don't see why this is a huge concern. Apple's current battery technology allows Macbook Pros to get 7 hours of batter life and a device like this would surely get 9-10. That seems like a very reasonable number to me.

I think this rumor is utterly false (unless by iPhone OS they mean stripped down OS X). The interface built for the iPhone would not scale to a screen this size, apps running on the App Store would not be able to take the full functionality of both devices.

Apple rarely makes terrible design choices and they tend to do a solid job on the interfaces; I can't imagine that they would make the tremendous mistake of blowing up the iPhone interface onto a tablet like this.

I'm really enjoying Nambu. I didn't really get into TweetDeck too much. I think it was something about the UI (not to mention the slowness).

I like Tweetie but no groups is a big problem. I was hoping the iPhone Tweetie would get groups at some point as well. Maybe they'll both get it at the same time.

Seriously doubt it. I can't imagine twitter really buying any client. It just doesn't make sense in my opinion. Not to mention, they would ONLY do it if there was a windows version.

STUPID, STUPID move on Hulu's content partner's part! All this will do is have me watching more pirated content and using less of Hulu. Hulu is a fantastic product but I will be using it far less now that there is no more Boxee compatibility. Unfortunately, the user base that these networks went after by blocking Boxee is also the most adept with the internet and will have no problem finding other places to get this content.

Listen up content producers of all kind (music, tv, movies). Piracy is happening because of these situations. If you can't provide your content to the people quickly and for a reasonable price, they will go somewhere else to get it. I continue to marvel at how these companies are still able to operate while making such terrible business decisions.

I completely agree. Do people expect military personnel to be politically correct? Of course not. The only reason this is coming up is because Prince Harry is a prince. He seems to want a normal life where his every move is not under a magnifying glass of the over sensitive public.

After learning that "Paki" is a derogatory term, I agree that their should be some concern about this. However, I don't believe there should be widespread outrage. For all you know, the prince and this Pakistani are very good friends and have agreed that such a normally derogatory word is used in jest. Also, it isn't unexpected for a soldier to be using derogatory remarks considering so many have seen such horrible occurrences at the hands of enemies. Would you walk around and show completely respect to a group of people who shot your best friend? Sure, it's not exactly correct to do this but those of us complaining about it are completely removed from the situation and have the luxury of being able to have little to no interaction with people who may want to kill us.

Really? C'mon. I expect people fighting in a war to use coarse language. There was absolutely no content on this video that showed any negative attitude towards anyone, simply language that might not be ideal. Get over yourselves, people can't be politically correct all the time, especially during war or military training.

I looked at Civics before getting my Mazda 3. The Civic definitely had the better dashboard but the Mazda was more powerful at felt more sporty. I also liked the seat material a lot better.

He definitely says "horseshit" at least the first time because he says "thats ..." and "that's course not" doesn't make any sens. Sounds like he says "that's horseshit" the first time and maybe horseshit or course not the second time. Anyway, when is the last time you've heard John McCain say "course not". Just doesn't sound like language he would use to me.
