Yeah I finally got mine working, my 1337 CSS skillz were a bit rusty.

Just a note (because I got it working by looking at the source code for your site), if you want to modify the way the "0 Comments" link looks, you can declare how you want it to look in the style sheet as .dsq-permalink. But then don't forget to put your {a href="{Permalink}#disqus_thread">Comments (View)</a}>

Totally agree.

I want all social networks to be linked, so I can update something once and my GTalk status, AIM away message, Twitter, status, Pownce note, Facebook Status all read the same thing; so it won't matter what I'm updating or who is on what, everyone will know the same information about it.

Sidenote: Pownce sucks.

But also, NONE of my IRL friends use Viddler, and I continue to, because I like the community. So that's a case of my not caving to "community pressure". Conversely, my MySpace account is out-of-date and hardly checked, because none of my IRL friends update theirs'. Also, MySpace is the worst website maybe since Geocities. (Like, when I see that home screen, I instantly get a headache.)

Anyhoo, you're totally right. And it sucks when the "pressure" leads you to use a service you don't like/that doesn't fit your needs. All will be better when G-TwAIMownceBook is created.

I heard the author interviewed on NPR a while back..and just today after reading YET ANOTHER thing on the internet about this book (on Jezebel), made the connection that it was the same person. Have you read her book "The Host"? *Goes to your GoodReads...* Oh you have...was that any good, because it sounded good?...oh wait, you have it on 'to-read'..Ok well I just added it to my 'to-read'. Let's read it together!

ANYWAY. Longest rambling comment ever. Also, Tim is a big fan of the Y: Last Man Standing. I, however, do not do teh comix. Much to his chagrin. He's trying to get me to read one about King Arthur because I dig on Alfred's myths.

I've had the app installed on my Curve for a while. But I thought with the update I would give it a spin as my only email option.

I lasted less than 24 hrs.

Deal breakers:

-Can't select text
-Can't accept GCal meeting invites (neither to add to GCal nor to your bberry cal)
-Many links do not come through in the email (resulting in lots of "Click here" with no link to click)

Other annoyances:

-Can't dial phone numbers by clicking
-No integration with bberry contact list

Until these things clear up, the app isn't a replacement for me.

Yeah, for a while I was getting tattooed or pierced regularly, so that counted me out. Now I'm on accutane, so I can't participate in the blood drive at work this month. Oh and I used to have a BIG phobia of needles, but I've gotten over it. I'll do it some day.

I just laughed to myself, thinking about my company (one of the Big 4 audit firms) making a Twitter account.

It would take no less than 8 months to designate a Twitter Committee, do an analysis of current state usage of Twitter, define the vision and purpose of said committee, determine the username, and deliver the first Tweet. Then each subsequent Tweet would likely take 2-3 weeks to determine the perfect 140-character representation of our firm at that moment. The whole thing would be an epic fail.

That's the problem with big companies. New moves are not made unless 3 staff, 5 seniors, 3 managers, 2 senior managers, and 5 partners have reviewed them. Social and new media is agile. Corporations are not.

I'm half tempted to create a project plan for this imaginary Twitter committee just to laugh some more.

Doesn't sound weird at all. They say the best way to lose baby weight is to be in great shape before you get pregnant. Plus, when you're knocked up, you can maintain your same level of physical activity, you just shouldn't increase. So if you're in good shape and maintaining a high level of physical activity before you get preggers, you can keep it up and stay fit all the way through.

All this info about pregnancy from a gal who hates babies, go figure.
