Maybe if enough of us request it...

Re: A Ruby on Rails developer's toolbox for Mac OS X - istvan hoka

Grrr. I picked advertising and 3D because it's an easy to understand tactical example, but clearly the scope of augmented reality is virtually limitless when viewed in the macro. This is especially true when mashed up with other forms of meta information such as GPS, temperature, etc.

For example, assistive technologies for the impaired could benefit tremendously. Imagine an iPhone app that could 'see' things in the world and either speak the info for the blind, or print the info for the deaf. Again, a very simple example, but you get it.

Re: Earning Your Media

KoqiBBQ's use of Twitter is an excellent example of social media, and the concept is spreading. The folks in Poke London have developed BakerTweet.com which allows bakeries to tweet what's fresh out of the oven. It's such a simple, elegant, opt-in, but most importantly *real-time* way to connect with your customers.

Re: Byte Engine - A Cross-Channel Technology Blog

Web 2.0 FTW! I sold my Thruxton 2 years ago and bought an R1200GS. it's much more compatible with my aging frame. And I'm becoming a big fan of single-malt. On my last glass of Macallan 18. I think I need to update my blurb. ;-)

Re: Byte Engine - A Cross-Channel Technology Blog

Awesome.
