Neither police nor prosecutors mentioned another target. Wounded shooting victims names are not released. Gang associations were not discussed. All of the information we have is in the story. Unfortunately, in this and many cases, all the answers may not come out until the trial, if ever.

Thanx for pointing that out. All three of those murders are on our site: John Mackey, Lorenzo Lancaster and Tommie Pledge. But for some reason the Lancaster homicide does not appear on the map. I will check with oour system guy.

Justice can work very slowly in Cook County, but both suspects remain behind bars in the Cook County Jail on $500,000 bonds.

We cannot put hearsay into a story. The police have not said who was in the car, nor disclosed any of the other details mentioned here, if they are indeed true.

Medical Examiner's office initially gave that address, but have now changed it to 7700 block of South Shore Drive.
