At this time, there's no support in the Chocolatey package for choosing between current-user and machine-wide installation. However, based on the documentation for Inno Setup, you should be able to do the following to get a machine-wide (all users) installation:

choco install --ia "/ALLUSERS" pgadmin4

Or for a current-user installation:

choco install --ia "/CURRENTUSER" pgadmin4

Of course, you'll need to be running elevated/admin to be able to perform an ALLUSERS installation.

If there is an automation issue it's with my local computer. Usually it automatically pushes when an update is found, but sometimes it doesn't happen.

Version 1.9.8 was pushed up on the 23rd of August, but the Retroarch devs updated the downloads before the automated check processes here on the Chocolatey packages site ran. Version 1.9.9 has been pushed and barring similar actions by the Retroarch devs should hopefully be available shortly.

I only maintain the Chocolatey package, not pgAdmin itself. However, I have used Inno Setup in the past for making installers for some programs I used to work on. After looking at the script used to build the installer itself, it seems that Inno Setup expects that the ProgramFiles directory on your computer is C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData instead of "C:\Program Files". This suggests that something with your computer is misconfigured.

If you uninstall the package first, you can try reinstalling with the following at the command line:

choco install --ia "/DIR:'C:\Program Files\pgAdmin 4\5.5'" --version 5.5 pgadmin4

This should put pgAdmin where it would be expected to go, but it won't fix your actual problem where installers are being mislead as to the location of ProgramFiles.

Currently the package does not support any package parameters that would support a custom install directory. I could add that and release an updated package but it would have to wait until next week since my schedule's booked up for the weekend.

Sorry for all the delays but a functional package for 1.9.4 is in review and should hopefully be available shortly. It takes into account the upstream changes in packaging, and will install by default to C:\Tools\RetroArch-Win32 or C:\Tools\RetroArch-Win64 depending on your processor (or if you force x86 or x64 at install time).

You may need to manually clean up any old installation of RetroArch, as well as back up and restore your configuration files due to the change in install location.

Sorry about the delay with 4.30. It appears that there's no longer x86 support from this version on, and my update script broke preparing the new package because of it. I should have the package ready in the next 18 hours.

Both 4.27 and 4.28 are in the verification queue, but you should be able to force either version at the command line with the --version option in the meantime.

And it's available if you force version at the command line. Unfortunately, there's a bug with the Chocolatey site and automated package review that has prevented 2020.3.6.0 from being made publicly available to date.

GtkVICE and SDLVICE are not the same as WinVICE. *Eventually* we'll have a proper GtkVICE package set up, but I haven't gotten it ready yet.
