This looks interesting, but the embedded trailer is utterly useless. All it tells me is they contracted a nice animation studio. Gamevil, can I have 5 seconds of game play in a trailer, or is that asking too much?

I don't understand the outrage, if it's too much money for you, don't buy it. The game is worth what people are willing to pay for it.

If the game provides a console RPG experience, I will pay the price. Anything less than a console experience I can get for the Vita, then I will pass.

I'm ridiculously excited for this. I don't have time to play a season on the xbox, but getting in games during my commute will be perfect. I hope this is a start of a trend. I agree with VonLaserface, I would love to see NHL 2K on the Android.

Man am I glad I didn't have time to download this yesterday. I go out of my way to try and support developers. I am rooted, that does not make me more likely to pirate games.

Shortsighted, ill informed and unsurprising from Square Enix. I'll use my 13 dollars to support developers who don't insult me at every turn.

I do at least appreciate that they reversed their stance rather than doggedly refusing to admit they were wrong. I also appreciate that they seem to be supporting Android more.

I had already played Swords and Sworcery from my iOS days, or that would have been my favorite. Otherwise, Walking on Mars has really surprised me, I didn't know anything about it and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Jared: there is a simple reason why you never see that "purity mode' implemented. That mode does not make a developer money. The entire point of these endless runners is to get you to buy their gold packs, so why are they going to put in a mode that completely obviates the need for their widgets and doodads.

I could not agree more. I was among the (presumably) few who paid for the game, and it had issues on my device that were never fixed.

I am always willing to give second chances, but I think they would need to at least address and apologize those stilted by their previous product. A "looking forward" attitude is great, except for the bodies that you're leaving behind.

Agreed. I see posts about the bigger games everywhere, it's really nice to be pointed to something that would have been easily overlooked. The Google play store has come a long way, but it's not great at helping discover these gems.

Developing on a platform where you can target 2 or 3 configurations and hit a majority of the users is easier than developing for android where trying to hit that same concentration would take you across 9 or 10 devices.

It's an unfortunate side effect of being an open platform. As the install base continues to climb, things get better for Android, and make the hassle worth it, but fragmentation is a real thing and makes it exponentially more difficult to test and deploy an app.

I don't see the game here. It would have been better served to have you managing some sort of strategy as the characters auto-attack. Swipping circles like a trained monkey does not a game make.

I love Final Fantasy, but this just looks terribly boring.

Damn straight. I really wish I had just bought the game outright, I leveled up a ton in the Lite version, and it did not transfer over when I upgraded to the full version.
