That allows me to use various forms of automated filters, together with much more powerful search interface. Cutting down the email overflow (by automation) gives more focus to actual conversations (and notifications). Even then, have been wondering of the rest.

Writing notes has been way of collecting what I have found, but haven't yet found best possible way to transfer knowledge forward. For task management, I personally use Things for Mac http://culturedcode.com/thi... but for work related things, mainly other tools.

Many have found useful team chat tools (Slack, Flowdock, etc.) with built-in collaboration features. Wondering how to use those more effectively.

Integrations between services are another thing. Have played with IFTTT, but since it has various limitations, haven't used it for work tasks. Zapier looks interesting too, but pricing model of it is a bit too high.

Will have to see how this thing goes. :)

Re: Bijan Sabet - Harvard Bridge, Boston.

Great photo.

Re: Eizo introduces a 36.4” 4K2K Monitor in Japan

Actually, the cost isn't that bad if it's taken to consideration that most of the 4K video cameras cost way more than that. Usage for screen like that is in front of editor who's workstation probably already has quite bit more of hardware to handle the stress caused by uncompressed 4K video materials. ;)

Re: Giving Away Pogoplugs for Accessing Your Photos from Anywhere

Depends on camera body as I know few professional concert photographers who are mostly using ISO 3200 or 6400 even if the images have more noise. Their explanation is that it's more important to get enough of light and to be able to stop the movement than to try minimize the noise. Some compare noise levels to film and say that even while the amount of noise is high, it's not even close to most of the traditional films. The issue is that digital noise is sharper but with good noise reduction algoritms of recent Lightroom 3 or DxO Optics Pro, it's possible to get usable results from even much higher ISO sensitivity numbers.

Re: Giving Away Pogoplugs for Accessing Your Photos from Anywhere

Depends on what camera I use but mostly 200 or 400.

If doing some event photography in dark I randomly use ISO 1600 and 3200, depending on the light. And yes, I mostly use those with 1.8 or 2.8 aperture lenses and even that isn't enough of light on many places, unfortunately. :(

Re: Buy my Bessa — Rasmus Andersson

Have you already moved to California and how much of these are still on sale? Problem here is that it's difficult to increase privacy at of one the largest service providers when they say themselves that they want to focus on open communication. Security can be improved and some of these companies could do good amount "outsider" testing (with written permission of service provider…) that might make systems and APIs more stable and secure.

It's good sign that people are developing several alternative social networks based on the need for more privacy (like Diaspora + few others) but that isn't going to help most of the people out there. By first focusing on securing major systems, maybe there would be more chance for others too.

Re: Our Workshop Presentation @ SXSW 2010

Thanks for interesting presentation slides.

Re: Travel todo and packing list

Thanks for nicely compiled list but noticed that the link to Numbers version of it is broken.
