This has always been the case. With the Mac, you are paying for incredible industrial design, solidity, reliability and that studio with the white background where Jonny Ive sits and tells us how good the latest diamond cut, laser chamfered edge feels when he strokes it.

I need to click through to read the full article, but I'm guessing that the custom built PC is a big black ugly box that sounds a bit like a 747 taking off when it starts to work.

The Microsoft Translator App is one of the best translators out there. I've been using it on iPhone and iPad for almost a year now. Almost a year, it updated today, but it's by no means a new app.

Oh the irony. As usual, when Astrill goes down, they point users to their Twitter and Facebook accounts. Don't they get it? :)

Also, it seems that every time Astrill VPN goes down, so does the website. Basic common sense says that you host your most important sales and support channel separately from your product. D'uh!

That said, outages aren't that common with Astrill (touch wood). So a few hours without Facebook or Twitter is inconvenient, but not the end of the world.

I like it. Oh, and by the way. The numbers 0 and 1 are in every number base system from base two upwards. What makes you think that they are two binary numbers? Maybe they're two hex numbers but there wasn't room for the rest.

I like the 'Love' reference too, that you obviously missed. If I have any complaint, it's that the typography is a bit messy. Steve might not have approved.

And finally, I don't really think that is Jobs' decapitated head. I'm sure there would have been a bit of an outcry about that.

Buddypress works fine with stand-alone Wordpress. It doesn't require Wordpress MU or Multisite any more. I run a site with a social aspect, http://edexpat.com . But I opted for the Mingle plugin as it supports all themes without any php hacking.

You should check your facts a bit more thoroughly. Android SDK is available on Mac OS X (and I think Linux too) as well as Windows.

In theory, this should work on a Mac too. But it doesn't. Anyone got any ideas how to connect to a Skydrive WebDAV share from OSX?
