Best of luck David, I think you crushed it last year also but no reason you can crush it some more this year. I pretty pumped for this year also the good news is I ran my 1st business for over a year but stuck with it.

Did lot of learning and growing as I am a Corporate IT guy new to this whole online world. This year is more about planning and doing. Will still be learning as that never stops but looking to do a little crushing myself.

I go back an forth on this. I am cheap low budget can learn just about anything but graphic's seems to be difficult for me. I think to be good an quick takes time and experience. I do have it as a goal to get better
at this as I see the importance of it but the if I every have a real budget a designer will be on my team.

Designers are so good at this stuff.

Good debate, I say leave it unless it is something that must go. Everything needs to be looked at on a case by case basis. I think you might do more harm if you delete it then leave. Hey I might have to delete my 1st 3 months as I didn't have a clue what I was doing, I posted a lot of crap just playing around.

I think it good to see how you grow and evolve over time. I even like looking thought Guru's archives from time to time it helps you under how the begin and it nice to see some of the roots of their blogs.

My number one goal is to be more consistant. Last year was my 1st year online and I think my biggest problem was I was up and down. The only think I was constant about was changing focus this year I have the first 3-4 months pretty well thought out. Time for massive action.

Contest play a hugh roll in my success factor for this year both entering and having them on my blog so count me in for this and if I win I would love the hour with the Jordan Cooper.

This is a very nice post I can't say enough good things about contest. Everyone loves SWAG and I seen a lot of great contest on blogs that have helped people get a boost in traffic, tweets, subscriptions, comments and backlinks.

If you run a nice clean contest it will help your taffic.

I love it, kids do have the best mindset. I learn from my 3 kids everyday. Each one has its own little personality. I think one of the things that happen to us as we grow up is we start to worry way to much about what others think and how we are taken and accepted by others. At a young age kids are kids and thats why we love them I just still back and observe mine at times.

They will pick up things faster then you relize. Your also right it is your job to help keep and develope that mindset.

Yes sure is, that one of the reasons that I looking to build my online business Plan B hopefully some day to become Plan A. IT must become more efficent in order for companies to surive. Small Business actually have an advantage here.

That's a great story. I been in IT and you have saved a ton of money by doing this and you can work from anywhere. I supported Exchange Servers a while back and it was a full time job at times and your right I can't see why any small to mid size company would not want to use google. My home envirment is heading to the cloud need to check out this dropbox sounds like it will make my life better.

Coffee rules, I hated it till I had my 1st kid then I had to start drinking it. Now I am hooked drink more then I should but I don't care. I actually wanted to try and set the world record for most coffee consumed in a short period of time but couldn't find it.

Maybe you know if not I just going to 2 pots in 5 minutes youtube it and claim it but anyway back to you post some great tips and advice here. Will have to check out your site coffee is close to my heart. Let me know if you know of the consumption record.

Thanks for sharing, I been listening to this type of stuff since I was 12, but somehow I never came across him. Now today I found him here and on Frank Kern site. Sad to here he is gone but his material and words will live on forever.

I played with squidoo a while back, I like the way it lets you know how your doing with your lens. It will tell you what area's need work etc. Teaches you a little bit about how the internet looks at your pages and lens. Title content etc. Good place learn and play.

Very easy to use and has lots of plugin's not going to make you rich but could if you spend the time make you some pocket change.

I agree the changes are good I need to better get my head around them. Thanks for this post. I think some of the more established people are going have to either pull or revamp their sites as one of the things that I keep hearing is case study's and must publish typical results where as you would only hear or see the best case stories.

Most of these make money online products have high failure rate not cause of the product but the work involved to make them succeed. No silver bullet however they are pitched like their is. Good opportunity for new people to create some legitimate products.

David, have you always been able to write posts that quickly or has that come over time?

Writing has never been a strength for me I actually started blogging to force me to write more so I will hopefully become better and me efficient at it. I will use this advice to see if it helps but 15-20 a post seem like a challenge for me.
