There are a few other plugins doing the same thing these days, but this one looks like it only depends on WP Core functionality, which is awesome.

That said, Brad introduced this post with the following:

"One of the top feature requests we receive from customers of WP Migrate DB Pro is the ability to push theme and plugin files along with the database. Well, there's a really nice third-party plugin that works with GitHub to deploy code. It's called WP Pusher and Jeff takes it for a spin this week, check it out..."

This plugin does not solve the issue Brad describes or the feature I'm guessing most of the WP Migrate DB Pro customers are asking for.

As a developer that supports several client websites and works with several different developers, my biggest issue is clients add plugins in production from time to time or decide to change their theme and then come back to me to add some specific functionality. What I need to be able to do is sync up development, staging and production including themes and plugins. This is the golden ticket for me and REALLY hoping Delicious Brains decides to tackle this issue at some point with their already awesome plugin.

Re: Starting Now: The Center™ Early Adopter Program Is Officially Open (Until Thursday at Midnight)

Hey Clay - Wanted to follow-up on this again.

You've mentioned in response to a few comments (including mine), that we'll be able to hook up several accounts (including multiple from the same service) which will help manage client work at the onset, and specified that sub-accounts will not be available, but will come later. This is all great, and I'm intrigued and heavily considering jumping in on this early bird access, but really curious about how sub-accounts will be added. Will they be included in this base rate? Will we be forced to pay more? If paying more, will there be discounted rates? What will that look like?

As you can imagine, I (and other agency type users) will need/want to figure out how to budget this in for 2016 and beyond. Any input on what this will look like would be very helpful.

Thank you!

Re: Starting Now: The Center™ Early Adopter Program Is Officially Open (Until Thursday at Midnight)

Thanks, and just to clarify, will sub-accounts be included? First, can this be done? Second, will there be a way to allow those clients to access reports or any part of the system?

Re: Managing Your WordPress Site with Git and Composer Part 2 – Using Composer to Manage Themes and Plugins

Great writeup. Thanks for sharing, Gilbert. One of the biggest pain points my team currently has is managing plugin updates across all of our hosted and client sites. We use ManageWP or the likes however, things then get out of sync on local or other environments. When using git to store the plugins, we then can't use ManageWP as a push from local will revert anything done.

This seems like a good step forward and I look forward to playing with setting up Composer to manage plugins and themes, at least locally, but the problem of keeping plugins and themes in sync from local to staging to production still seems to be at large.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to mitigate this? Would love to see another extension from the Delicious Brains team that does the same thing it does for Media but for plugins and themes.

Re: Connect Your Blog to Google Buzz

Google is moving away from Google Buzz and concentrating on Google+. Most particularly, the admin section of
the site would stop loading after a few minutes. Apparently, BlueHost
restricts the amount of bandwidth each user can use on the Shared SSL to
something ridiculously small like 150kb (not 100% about the number).
Needless to say, just loading the admin dashboard typically takes up more
bandwidth than the restriction (or at least mine did) and therefore my
Shared SSL solution quickly became useless for me.

If you do figure out a workable solution, I'd love to hear it.

Good Luck,
Justin

Re: 5 Good Examples for Managing Your Lifestreaming Data Flow

Hey Mark,

Great resource for people to find more information on how to manage their data flow. I wish you another 7 years+ of
being smoke free.

Another aspect I haven't put into the project yet, is asking people how long
they've been smoking and if they have quit before or are trying to quit. At
this point, I'm just asking for the portrait and moving on. Maybe I'll work
up the courage to talk to a few people along the way.

Re: Connect Your Blog to Google Buzz

Hey Cathy,

Sorry, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to get your second blog
imported.
