On a personal front, we put a solar system on our house last year and trying to do all we can to tread lightly on the earth... That being said, there are still contradictions -- we drive a great big pick-up around much of the time, for example. And, though I try to be very energy conscious in the studio, it's clearly not a very "green" activity. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

Re: Penland Auction

Thanks for the show-n-tell!

Re: SP 36 #2

Am also a long-time subscriber. Hope to meet you and other potter bloggers in person!

Best wishes on getting it all done! Looking forward to seeing more of your bird imagery!... Your mention of the pottery paths to and from the studio, porch kiln and house fridge reminds me of the white footsteps I invariable leave when going to and from my studio and my gallery neighbors. They've threatened to just paint white footsteps leading from my place to theirs. (Sounds like my studio is a mess, but I mop it at least 1x week... Maybe I'm just a messy potter!)

Re: http://michaelklinepottery.blogspot.com/2008/10/painted-birds-start.html

Looking good!
