I did take one for the team. We lost the next night to a team of ringers.

It was painful. I'm in this blue cast until the 26th, at which point, it will be removed, and x-rays taken to see how the healing is progressing.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get a walking cast at that point. (Just to note, I broke my foot on July 10.)

I was playing on my company softball team in the league semi-finals. In an attempt to avoid tackling the first baseman as I was heading to second, (she was not paying attention) I tried to dodge, and executed an almost graceful tumble. I say almost graceful because I managed not to take out the other player, but I broke 3 metatarsals in the process. There is an x-ray photo posted on my flickr stream, if you're curious. :)

I was awarded second base due to interference, and my replacement runner scored the winning run.

Ok, true story: As I was editing the above comment a moment ago, there was a knock on my door. It was someone looking for a geocache I have set up at my apartment.

+1. Disqus is *great*, but I would much prefer to use a built-in (and possibly optional) commenting solution. I don't care about "don't fight the format"; people want to comment. Twitter staff, please read this.

You're trying to make money (ads on your site, obvious SMO activity) off a service that has been free during its entire existence and will probably remain free for quite some time to come, or at least offer a free basic service, and you complain when a deployed improvement messes up your SMO shenanigans?
