The Music Box is like a very fun nightmare," said Hewitt. "It's a frightening premise to have so much malevolent energy in an inanimate object, especially something that's typically as benign as a music box. I'm so proud of The Music Box and can't wait for people to read it."

The Music Box presents a new story in each issue, as different people come into contact with the music box and have unique experiences. Be it time travel, alternative realities or just plain evil, Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Music Box masterfully weaves new and compelling stories with every issue.

"Who knew that behind that sweet, million dollar smile of hers was a mind capable of coming up with suck dark and dangerous stories?" said Lobdell. "Fans of Love will be dancing to a new tune . . . one that's played by this mysterious music box from who only knows where."

Re: ComicList - Coheed And Cambria's Claudio Sanchez Invades Milford, Connecticut

Boom! has announced an additional signing:

WHEN: Friday, August 28th, 2-3 pm

WHERE: Newbury Comics
1 Faneuil Hall Marketplace
North Market Building
Boston, MA 02109
617-248-9992
www.newburycomics.com

DIRECTIONS: Google Map

Re: ComicList - ComicList for 07/08/2009

Did your local store receive IDW's GI Joe Origins #5 today? To me, ST II was the best
story and contained the best acting, and was the most authentic when
it came to the characters. I look forward to viewing the new movie
to see how it ranks to me.

Re: ComicList - The Two Faces Of Free Comic Book Day 2009

My closest comic shop is over 50 miles away so getting there on a regular basis is not easy. I do however have a pull list with them. I only wanted one of the free comics this year. They could not hold even that 1 book for a regular customer. I know the idea is to get in new customers but shouldn't a regular customer with an ongoing pull list be able to get 1 free comic even though I couldn't get to the store that day. It actually is a regret on mine that I have never made it too FCBD because of the distance involved. They usually have cool local artists and costumed characters that would be fun to get a picture with.

Re: ComicList - The Two Faces Of Free Comic Book Day 2009

And to expand on my comment about Diamond's Comic Shop Locator: if search on "Orange Park Florida," it tells me I have to put more information in. If I expand the search term to "Wells Road Orange Park Florida," it finds three shops, none of which are the shop ON Wells Road in Orange Park, Broadsword Comics and Games. Even if I put in the zip code for Broadsword, it won't find it. The Locator is as biased as the Previews Catalog, and it's going to be another nail in the comic industry coffin.

Re: ComicList - The Two Faces Of Free Comic Book Day 2009

I think 1) if a shop is going to put a limit on the number of free comics, they should make that VERY clear, especially if it's a change from years past, and 2) yes, I do want to read Tiny Titans and Owly. I want to read them all. The shop should order plenty of free comics, as they are essentially an advertising expense.

Next year I will probably go to Gainesville instead of Jacksonville.
