I'll take a look.

Re: On Apple, FriendFeed, and TechMeme | Mark.

Thanks, Gabe.

On FriendFeed, there's a discussion going on about this post, particularly on the lack of depth on your comments: like you've said, it's not like this is a new position for you. Mentioning TechMeme and its possible problems acts as an easy diversion from actually discussing the points you've made recently and historically.

Re: On Apple, FriendFeed, and TechMeme | Mark.

Hey, good points.

BTW, I just don't know why people thought I was somehow talking about Techmeme when I mentioned FriendFeed (which was at Scoble's prompting BTW). I'll add that my thoughts on FriendFeed's relationship to Techmeme haven't changed much since March '08: http://bit.ly/cP9v

As far as Techmeme sucking, I like Techmeme, but it's not for 99.9% of the world, so for those 99.9% it will probably suck!

Re: Overnight success takes a long time

Now THAT is interesting! What is the right kind of behavior? I think you're onto something there, but want to hear a lot more of what you consider the "right" kind of behavior.

Re: Overnight success takes a long time

Nobody should count out FF. The obvious technical excellence of the team and the very impressive pace of innovation you guys have already demonstrated make that clear. But I think people are alarmed that so many people have tried the site and then abandoned it (or at least that's how it appears). I personally think the way commenting and liking works has created incentives for the wrong kind of behavior, and you might be stuck in a kind of local maximum as far as uptake until you really shake things up. But what do I know? Anyway, good luck, I'll use FF regardless (though I don't comment any more...).

Re: Top 10 objectively biggest tech stories of 2008 - Techmeme News

Six Techmeme search results for "iFart": http://www.techmeme.com/search/query?q=ifart

Re: Top 10 objectively biggest tech stories of 2008 - Techmeme News

John, it's OK to mention your own stuff here, but you need to link to their corresponding Techmeme permalinks so that we know those are the good furrier.org posts. :-)

Re: Top 10 objectively biggest tech stories of 2008 - Techmeme News

That was #11.

Re: Guess what?
