If you wish to have your own, you should be able to share it with specific people or everyone (Twundles had this idea built in), but the public lists were singular in name. You could have similar named ones, but not 50 with the exact same name that are public.

Make sense? I am looking to be able to tell which list I am following, make sure I have the best ones and also maintain my own local lists where I can do some of the ideas you presented.

Thanks for commenting!

Re: Your school district might be forcing your kid to share too much information

Interestingly the comment from Kuderworks was modified. The previous comment stated libel and to check my facts. Interestingly the comment came from within Kuder and has been removed since everything I mention above is directly pasted and quoted from the policies on the Kuder site itself about privacy and data ownership

Re: The BlogWorld Experience

Nice! I se the back of my head in a couple pics, lol. It was my first year at bwe09 after quite a few years of blogging and podcasting and working with some of the panelists. A good trip well worth the effort in attending.

We did happen to catch Jermaine Dupri after his panel for a podcast interview on http://TheSocialGeeks.com which includes three of us that made the trek to BlogWorldExpo this year and plan on coming back.

Re: FAIL: 20K+ Gmail, Yahoo, AOL Accounts hacked? Make a wise one. Google isn't the only player in the market anymore.

You don't pick the dark alley in the worst neighborhood to park your car, and you certainly don't choose a service that is under attack constantly. Lately, Google hasn't been as stable as it claims to be.

Specially when you are talking about enterprise accounts. Standards are higher in this segment.

Re: FAIL: 20K+ Gmail, Yahoo, AOL Accounts hacked? Google is typically attributed for better than industry standard for web services.

I wasn't surprised by Hotmail's attack but Google.

I'm sure someone's gotta be able to figure out when over 20K of the accounts are being accessed within a short period of time from a similar IP range?

Re: FAIL: 20K+ Gmail, Yahoo, AOL Accounts hacked? It will be obvious soon of who has mail hosted on the LotusLive platform due to the DNS name presented on received mail. Won't it be open to the same types of attacks?

The issue revolves around bad passwords, link clicking and other forms of attempts to get into accounts.

I did a screencast today on registration, the UI and what to expect on LotusLive iNotes.
http://www.IdoNotes.com/IdoNotes/IdoNotes.nsf/d...

Re: New Sony Reader is Like a Digital Library On Demand

I still have the old Ebook from RCA and never would give it up before. You are right. We actually had more discussion but in order to stay reasonably on time we cut it down to what you heard. I think the initial blast from hearing of the purchase put everyone on guard that has invested time in FriendFeed, yet now that the immediate dust has cleared there is no changes showing as planned.

I imagine we will slowly see some branding and then integration take place. As well as merging your login information over to pure Facebook.

Thanks for pointing people over, come and join us sometime on the show!!

Re: And Now We Have An Official Widget Catalog!

Excellent news Luis. See my posting here: Spokeo has gone paid, here is why I am not happy http://bit.ly/7wmB7 @John yes you can link multiple emails together as one person, which gives you even wider search for information on them. As such, so far, the best client for FriendFeed is FriendFeed's Web interface, and I get e-mail alerts for search on Twitter. PeopleBrowsr lets you do both these things in one place, if you choose to do so, and yes, if you want FriendFeed and Twitter in the same place, that would make TweetDeck unavailable (for now). But for simply publishing to Twitter, anything works. I have been using the Web or Tweetie.

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/05/peoplebrowsr-opens-up-in-public-beta.html

Louis, do you see it replacing your tweetdeck or other clients you use for these services? I stay on topic and hope that those following me do the same. The chances of me following them in return increases, so does the signal-to-noise ratio (signal wise), and value in each person also increases between those two people.

This could also help in effectively establishing long-term connections.

Re: 4 Reasons To Not Increase Your Followers On Twitter

Humorously it is hard to know why someone follows you and if changing your stream to include new content will drive them away. But is the balance then that you add other followers that like that? Sounds more like how a conversation evolves in person. People come and go at will based on topic. Unless they just want to stalk you :-)
