You can immediately withdraw this $1,000 into your PayPal account.

I can tell you I was far from winning the last competition and it wasn't released how many Shoemoney had to win the second challenge. I know Zac Johnson had around 400 to win the first one.

The second one was very short, so you probably didn't have big numbers, but this one is pretty long, so you'll probably see some big numbers to win.

Re: Amazon Affiliate Links On Twitter: To Tweet Or Not To Tweet

I agree with Geno -- the way I understand the FTC, the advertiser/merchant does bear responsibility, also. I'm leaving that to Amazon -- I know I disclose when I post the links.

You can customize the tweet, Eric. -- I've changed it every time I've done it and added a disclosure statement of some kind.

Re: Amazon Affiliate Links On Twitter: To Tweet Or Not To Tweet

Thanks for the question, Geno! I guess I should have been more specific about what the button actually does. It automatically shortens the affiliate link to a bit.ly link, but there is no disclosure. Amazon leaves that up to you. I pretty much take responsibility for that, anyway.

Re: Canon EOS Free From SponsoredTweets!

Thanks, Zac! Jeremiah Owyang did a great job as the moderator pointing this out, right from the start.

Re: Twitter On Your Business Card – Duh!

That's OK, Nathan -- you could have done what I did -- have the Twitter name on the card and then change your Twitter name right before leaving for the conference, not realizing that it's still the old name on the cards. Big time FAIL! :) Oh well, I have had my Twitter name on my card for a while and will continue to do so -- just need to be sure it's the right one. :)

Re: Make Three Times As Much Money with Your Blog

Definitely! Would a plumber install your sink and toilet for free, just because he's feeling moral and ethical? No -- and I'm not including your cousin the plumber. :)

Everyone's an expert in something and whatever that something is required lots of hard work and learning to acquire and deserves compensation. Period. Not a raping, just and fair compensation.

Re: Review of Mystere, From Cirque Du Soleil

Sounds like you enjoyed the show as much as I did, David. I appreciate input from someone with your expertise! I agree, Tim Jones is generic -- and that was something Ted actually mentioned in his presentation -- "if your name is John Doe" (or Tim Jones, in my case :) ), "then you should probably use a persona."

The work involved could be monumental, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Re: Top 18 #IZEAFest Take-Aways

Excellent take-away, Drew! :)

Re: Affiliate Marketing Fail

Thanks for the comment, Jim....and I agree, he has an amazing following that makes up for poor marketing (hell, I'm one of his fans!), but I'll tell you this --- that was the slowest Margaritaville I've ever seen!

Re: Toastmasters For Speech and Leadership Development

Great point, Dina!

Re: Toastmasters For Speech and Leadership Development

Same here, Shawn. Really, just say no, more often. I'm so very prone to over-commitment. What it really boils down to is FOCUS! There is amazing power (and money generation, BTW) in a laser focus. I'm working towards that goal of more defined focus and direction.

Sometimes, you really have to ask yourself, "Is what I'm doing, right now, bringing me closer to achieving my goals?" If the answer is no, maybe that should be your answer, too. :)

Re: Beach Sunrise

Oh yeah, the silhouette one was done with my XShot. :) -- little product plug. :)

Re: Beach Sunrise

Air travel used to be a great place to get some thinking and reading, done.
