Web Developer extension (again) also has a tool to reveal your password in password field (Tools menu -> Web Developer -> Forms -> Show Passwords)

If it's just one line of command, a shortcut can be used.
Batch file is useful if you have more than one command line to run at the same time, for example, running Firefox and Thunderbird at the same time:

@echo off
start firefox webhostingshow.com firefoxfacts.com
start thunderbird

Why bother to use about:config? What's wrong with changing it directly by clicking the searchbar icon and select a prefer search engine?

Other trick is to display the buttons only when you move your mouse over the textbox

}

#urlbar-button-box:hover #go-button-stack,
