This is for people who aren't going to know how to do their own CSS which I would contend are 70% of TwentyFifteen users. Users that would prefer a five second solution than installing a CSS plugin and then figuring out what CSS is and how to use it.

Right but if you use the API you only have to make http requests rather than including any WordPress core files in your app. They could live on separate servers, etc. Just a thought!

These are great tips and suggestions Tony.

The tip I share the most for people to create optimized content is to first think what you would search for on Google to find the post/page you are about to write. Then start writing with that phrase in mind. Use it for your title and/or headlines and within the content.

You can use the tools Tony mentions to validate and tweak your phrase based on actual search usage.

On WordPress sites we use the Yoast SEO plugin that gives you an option in your WordPress page editor to set a "focus keyword". I tell people to drop that phrase you came up with at the start in there. Then the plugin will grade you on the use of that term within the content, offering you suggestions on how to optimize for that phrase.
