Not only do these Twitter ads drive traffic, they also pass on a lot of Page Rank juice of the millions of Twitter user pages. It will be interesting to see how some of the sites performs once they are no longer the text ad(s) of the month. For example, traffic for exectweets and marchtweetness tanked after their initial twitter ad (http://siteanalytics.compete.com/exectweets.com/)

Create a twitter account and follow all the people you want in the group.

Totally agree. I was also surprised to find there wasn't a "report abuse" button on a member's homepage. Seems like an obvious first step.

Twitter should add "Report Spam" button right next to "Reply" and "View Tweet" in the search results.

Reminds me of Cable television. It looks like a 140 character version of cable tv. Lots of channels to surf but nothing worth watching (with the exception of @google tweet maybe)

It would be interesting to start measuring the URL shortners, twitter clients as well and the twitter home ads as well i.e. exectweets, march tweetness etc.

They cleaned up the web UI a little bit too. The time portion shows in a different line. That part of the UI is less cluttered. Compare current UI with the older screenshots...

Instead of qwitter.com, use socialtoo.com It has an end-of-day report on who stopped following you. So far it has worked well for me.

What FFHolic has done for me is expose some new faces through their content. The social circle I run in differs from many on the site, so tapping into FFHolic every once in a while can help me find things I wouldn't otherwise. Key example... the new Britney Spears video... which I would usually avoid, was found there, and now, like a virus, the song is in my head. Wait... this isn't much of an endorsement, is it?
