Is that so true though. Who maintains your sever space? If you do so yourself then you are 100% correct. But, if you don't then what if that company decides they don't want to keep it anymore and just pull the plug without letting you know. Yes, I know that pretty much will never happen, but still.

Twitter actually gives me a bit more value then Friendfeed because on Twitter I follow a ton of other graphic designers and most of them post great links to resources and tutorials everyday. I don't get that from Friendfeed. Most of what I get from Friendfeed is just random news and funny stuff.

I think you make a good point. Twitter doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I think people have become ok with the way things are...well not a ok, but accepting.

For me Facebook serves its purpose. I'm able to stay connected with Friends and people that I know don't use the other networks that I'm on. Sure it is limited in it's openness, but I don't think of Facebook as something where I'm going to connect with people I don't know. I use it to stay connected with people that I already know on a more personal level. Sites, like Friendfeed and Twitter don't allow me to do that.

But, you have to think about it. It happened so fast. To be able to get a video of the crash someone would have to have been recording a video of the plane in the first place.

Its like I said in the post I wrote on my blog. Its amazing how fast social media can spread news like this. Think about it, this guy got a photo before any of the major news outlets could even think about getting a photo or even video.

Do I know off the top of my head, no. I don't know anyone who works at Apple other then Steve Jobs and a cousin of mine. But, just because I don't know their names doesn't mean that they aren't there. Apple won't let what happened back in the 90's happen again.

That was different time. You can't dwell on things that happened in the past. I'm sure they learned from their mistakes and have made sure to have people around, other then Steve Jobs, to keep Apple moving forward strong.

First I will say that this is very well written. BUT! I have to totally disagree with people who say that Steve Jobs needs to tell us everything that is going on in is life. It is his life and someday it will end, before that happens I'm sure he will retire as CEO. It is inevitable.

So how about we just all go ahead and freak out now and sell off all Apple stock and morn Steve jobs leaving. That way when it really happens we would have already doomed Apple and all but ditched the company.

Come on people! I know Steve Jobs is the face of Apple, but I guarantee you that Steve Jobs doesn't make ALL decisions and choices there. There are many SMART and creative people their who will keep Apple going and help it stay the great company it is.

Your right. People are only complaining because they love Friendfeed and they want to see it grow and become what it should be.

My main complaint about Friendfeed is the fact that it is becoming less accessible to new users. Louis Gray hit it right on the head, new users get discouraged because they either get blasted with a million different things or they can't break through and get to those of us who have been using it for a while now.

But, I know that Friendfeed will grow and it will be fantastic. I have faith in all those that are behind making Friendfeed what it is today.
