Wasn't trying to point out anything petty, it's just effective to differentiate the alley from the valley.

Re: Use the Cloud

While it's not necessarily new, it's definitely an uncharted frontier. In my experience though, it seems apparent that the faster we can consolidate user info, the faster the Internet will become an even more invaluable tool for consumers' lives.

There is, of course, an Orwellian dilemma that arises when generating sets of data such as this, but, for the time being at least, I want to believe that there are ways to protect user privacy while still providing benefits for both brands and consumer. We'll see though.

Re: still working

test

Re: Are you using Firefox 3? (Scripting News)

I'm using it, but I haven't completely dropped my other browser yet. It has flaws that I can't seem to resolve. For instance, Flash video (youtube, etc.) like to load and stop at 2 seconds. Always at 2 seconds. It's infuriating. Plus there are some other issues that crop up at random.

That said, I still have my old Firefox installed for use in a pinch and I use Safari on my Mac.

Re: Why Clinton supporters might flock to McCain (Scripting News)

I agree with you for the most part, but I think McCain is just playing ball. He gotten beaten to hell in 2000 and it seems that at that point he decided to just suck it up and play along until he was boss.

In earnest, I have to think that McCain would go back to his old ways once in office, because the alternative is too depressing to me. I'm staunchly independent, and I plan to vote for Obama if he gets the nod, but if the Dems go the other route, I don't feel like I have any choice other than to vote McCain.

Re: Why Clinton supporters might flock to McCain (Scripting News)

Fair enough. McCain isn't a bad guy or anything, but I'd prefer he didn't find himself in the White House next Jan. The Democrat circus, however, is facilitating that as they're still campaigning against each other, and smearing one another at every turn. Doesn't look very good.

Meanwhile, McCain is left uncontested and can focus exclusively on the real show while Obama and Hillary are out playing tug-of-war. Sad really.

Oh well, if by chance, Hilldawg gets the nod, I'll be voting McCain. That woman irks me rather fiercely.
