For the average small firm using basic email services, the phone can provide robust results. "

This should not be taken lightly. This is a big deal for many as Exchange push just stops. Nothing. No new email period. This is not the Blackberry replacement that we thought it would be. It feels great and has a ton of promise, but with basic push email functionality so broken it is not a phone we can recommend for our own users. Great for consumers and gmail, which works perfectly, but it suffers the same issues as the Droid X. check the support forums at Moto.

Re: Key stuck on your Passat ignition?

Larry, I did say how to fix it in the post. Put the car in park and press the shifted button a few times and the fob will release.

Re: Firefox, Outlook Web Access, and cursor position

By the way, I just tested FF 3.1 alpha and it behaves the same way.

http://developer.mozilla.or...

Re: Firefox, Outlook Web Access, and cursor position

Unfortunately , no. I am in the same boat where all I can find is the question. The Mozilla forums gave me a glimmer of hop, but it ended up being a solution on how to do this for their mail client. Making the same changes in FF did not eliminate the issue. It is frustrating. I ended up back with WebKit for now, but would like to be able to use Firefox as it works better for me when I use Citrix.

Re: Microsoft: We ain’t gonna tell you about Windows 7

Sorry robert, looks like I introduced further comment fragmentation by commenting on your post on FriendFeed.

Re: Key stuck on your Passat ignition?

Michael, I can definitely see how that can happen, but in my case at least, I must have moved that shifter 100 times and it never made a difference. It wasn't until I hit that button a couple of times that it finally released.

What's interesting is that this happened a few times and has not happened since.

Re: iTunes, you have a problem

Dr G, you were so close, but no conspiracy intended. My point was actually the opposite; I was stating that if a share holder won't use the product, what chance do they have with a regular consumer?

No Walmart stock - I'm one of the guys that thinks Walmart's practices helped make China the economic power house it is today, all at the expense of the American economy. Remember the days when Walmart used to advertise "Made In America?"

Re: Will the Scobles wait in line for 3G iPhone?

I'm betting you'll still be in line. The build up will eventually get to you. I've read your stuff for a long time now and you just don't seem like someone that is built to wait for anything. It won't be just about 3G. Won't we see 2.0 of the software then as well?

I predict you'll not only be in line, but you'll stream it live on Qik, send at least 80 tweets, keep a friendfeed going, and post a few pics on flickr. ;p

Re: Burned by DST and a formerly great thin client

We'll never find a solution. We made the decision to replace them all over a couple of years. What a shame. Changing the timezone isn't the big deal, but any Outlook appointments that people make during the extended period end up wrong when we change the timezones back. Frustrating. We decided to go with Wyse and end it.

Re: iPhone and Outlook Web Access

Let's say your OWA site is http://OWA.yoursite.com. The Mini had already allowed me to remove the CD player from my shelves and thanks to the M-Audio I got to remove the DVD player as well. The Mini has been fantastic connected to my 60" Sony and it's funny watching my 12 year old getting her homework done on the TV using a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Owning the Mini has been what stops me from owning an AppleTV. Long live the Mini.

Re: PowerBook G4 hard drive upgrade – so close

Yes. The key to me seems to be all of the applications, as it seems FB is a framework - a platform.

Now where did I leave that blinder removal kit? ;p

Re: Firefox on Macs giving people fits

I used to have problems with FF, Camino and Safari on Google Reader all the time. I usually have Reader running as one of 3 table that I use all day and I never shut my MacBook Pro down, just put it to sleep as I go back and forth between place. I just figured that having it open forever was causing the issue and would just close the Reader tab, reopen it, and I'd be good for a couple more days. I tried the Safari Beta and have not seen this at all and have had pretty much nothing but positive things to say about the beta, so I now use the Webkit nightlies and life has been pretty sweet.

I think Apple finally nailed it.

Re: Note to self – don’t check bags when flying USAirways

Wow, I went to your site to read about the costumes.
