It's a petrifying sort of process but, hey, fear's a motivator, right? And it's not like we have an abundance of other options to choose from, so, whee, here we go leaping into the untested void.:)

Dude, I am *working on it.*

That particular story comprises the final section of The Road to Hell. Right now I'm nailing down the first section, "Tangled Up in a Whiter Shade of Pale Blue" (the childhood spent bouncing between suburbs and hippie communes, etc.). Proper foundations and all that.

Large chunks of the final chapters are done, but none will make sense without the preceding contextual material (also, they need a lot of editing and fact-checking).

But I'll get there. I mean, have you read any other books that include a funeral with a bouncer? Grocery shopping with a mafia pimp (entirely unrelated to the preceding pimps) and having him drive you to the summer home of the famous feminist author whose farm you used to work on, because somehow you ended up with the keys to her rental car and now you have to return them before she goes ballistic, a notion which is fairly terrifying since the last time you saw her, she was throwing furniture at you before passing out drunk on her own floor?

In time, I'll get there. But there were a lot of events that led up to there here-a-pimp, there-a-pimp, Jesus-where-in-the-fuck-did-all-these-pimps-come-from segments.

Will get this right or die trying.

Hey dude. I mentioned you two in the same tumblr post (and, annoyingly, on my secondary Twitter). That was my way of beginning a lengthy and obscure ritual of e-introduction. You can expect to be gradually assimilated into our fucked up little RVA cult. You won't even see it coming, you'll just wake up one morning here in Richmond with a tattoo like mine and @ThunderDolt's, and you'll be all "WTF?!" but then we'll hang out and maybe rob some banks like we were talking about that once, and we'll shoot the shit and crank some Run-D.M.C. and some Fishbone and, oh why not, some Queen and assorted and sundry metal (obvs.) and some Girl Talk if we're felling that and Spoon and The National and FUCK YEAH THE GITS (long live Mia Zapata) and Todd can join us whenever and, aw why not, bring those brats of yours (to corrupt those only slightly younger brats of ours) and sometime when LOG isn't touring, Randy will drop by and you'll be all like "'sup?" -- and it won't be nothin' because he'll be just another lovely idiot in our extended, ever mutating circle of lovely idiots.

You'll have to rent another place though. Our house is so cramped you can't squeeze a fart sideways.
