Colby, Steven posted a note this morning responding to my story, and he didn't like my phrasing of the word "nonsense", which is fine. I've got a great relationship with Steven and really like his writing. It's just that this specific story didn't hold water. I commented the same on his blog.

I can actually say that I was subscribed to you and recently trimmed down my subscriptions from 2,800 or so to somewhere around 60 because it was too much. I still see the same people and the same things as before, due to Friend of friend.

I think anonymity is both a horrible thing and a great tool, it depends on how it's used. In some countries complete anonymity is needed, otherwise they would be put to death or jail. I find its far more respectable when someone puts a real name and face to their opinion, though it isnt always needed.

It would be handy if you could leave a comment on Google Reader items and have them pass through to the source's comments. Disqus and other comment platforms will have to really catch on before Google Reader collaborates with them and makes it a feature.

I hear you on the read and run. That's something I will have to work on, definitely, but just as Louis, I read a lot of RSS. Perhaps if it was possible to leave a comment on the blog from GoogleReader or which-ever client you choose. You brought up a decent point.
