You are making the assumption that everyone is streaming. You can watch a movie on the plane very easily, you just have to havea copy of it on your device. ;)

I would watch more #Netflix on the iPad if the Netflix app didn't suck... or was really an app. iPhone app is somewhat better.

It has a mic and a speaker, so I don't see why not... at least over WiFi with Skype, Yahoo, etc. It can also use BT headsets as well as the Apple iPhone earbuds w/ mic.

Of course, the VoIP on 3G ban was just lifted in the SDK, so that could be good news as well.

Fandango already has an iPhone app that allows you to see what is playing around you and easily buy tickets. It also provides phone numbers and addresses for the theaters... don't recall at the moment if it allows you to call directly.

Comcast already has a web-based video service for on demand and other content. They could merge that and Hulu and leave the free option to Comcast subscribers, while offering a paid option to non-Comcast subscribers.

I'd expect to see Scripps, CBS, Time Warner, Viacom and others to try and block this.

Sounds a bit anti-competitive to me. Though, it won't matter soon if it isn't listed on Google... once Murdoch starts charging everyone to read the content, that'll be the end of News Corp. What a douche.
