Thanks for your comment - our first on the blog!

It's similar to Groupon, but one of the big differences is that the company was started by New Yorkers for New Yorkers. We have group buying in our DNA.

Sites like Scoop St. and Groupon (at least, as I see it) are great for all parties involved - consumers end up getting their pick of awesome deals, businesses get to reach a new customer base and the site's get to showcase great content for their audiences.

Again, thanks for the comment. Did you have any other suggestion or thoughts?

Hopefully David and team will add that functionality soon to the rest of the Tumblogs. I do believe that this may be included in the pro feature set slated for release this summer.

Those of us who live in a geeky, techy, early adopting, if it's not out yet I need to be a part of it world, often forget that we are in an extreme set of early adoption. Gen Y is still ahead of the curve, but they're still lagging us.
