Curious to hear what you think about the Mountain Goats album. I'm a big fan but I've been put off by the "faith album" talk. Doesn't stir my atheist bones.

Wow. It took me a minute to figure out where this comment was coming from
(it came in email). Still lots of content work to do, then a bit of design
of that content (especially Features and Tour). Getting there.

Yeah, i've always loved Ian's vocals. I tend to check out whatever he's put
out, but nothing's grabbed me like the old stuff.

Thanks -- it's one of my favorites, too.

I owe (the other) David thanks for coming up with this idea -- it's
gotten me digging around in some of the dustier corners of my music
collection and pulling out some great music. I hadn't listened to Son
Volt in quite a while, but it's right back in rotation now.

It's such a fantastic album. I didn't really know Astral Weeks the first time around, but this live performance really grabbed me. One of those near-perfect examples of what a live album should be: the original is a jumping-off point for something new. And it seems that a concert allows more "space" for the musicians to do their thing.

Go give the whole album a listen. Good fall fare.
