I agree with you. Actually, two of my books started as an ebook. As they are often used as a reference material in the classroom, the initial default option is via printed edition.

Today, two of my past published books are viewable / readable via Scribd. For the next two books I'll be releasing, will offer both digital and printed editions (print runs via publishing-on-demand system).

Re: Monitoring Traffic Using Performancing Metrics Spy

Sige hope you can share your observations too.

Re: Lessons Learned in Organizing a Writing Project

Hi Eric. Thank you for taking time to post. Here are some insights I'd like to share to you and my answer is more in general context but I hope it can enlighten:

1. Your blog is your own business. For as long as it serves your purpose, then you as the owner can vouch for its realness.

2. Copyright is a broad subject. At the minimum, it covers quoting published work with permission or under the fair use clause (for books/ reports/ web articles). At this modern times, copyright protection has also extended to e-mail correspondence which is also in conjunction with privacy.

Plagiarism is under the context of misrepresentation of content, making it appear as yours.

That is why for reports, sources are properly quoted or permission/consent deliberately asked to avoid being accused of copyright violation, plagiarism, and related concerns such as privacy.

3. In the blogosphere, each person is entitled to their opinion and this can be presented in a variety of ways. You have the option of exercising this as part of your freedom of expression right.

In the writing project, for example, you have exercise this right by submitting an entry with your choices cited.

4. Each one of us is accountable to what we say. That is why in the court of law, any person submitting evidence or accusation, has to carry the burden of proof.

For the writing project entries, I checked on your profiles (and double check via social networks) to see if the blogs used are owned by real persons in addition to other requirements (linking to writing project, submitting ten sites, etc.). When your entries passed these rules, it was accepted.

My apologies if I can't narrow down to specifics as that will require me to know you folks on a more personal level and get more background info. However, I hope the above insight will help.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions on the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs 2009 Writing Project

Yes you did. =)

Re: Frequently Asked Questions on the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs 2009 Writing Project

definitely, one more rule, at the minimum, will be added next year.

Re: August 18: State of E-Commerce in the Philippines Free Webinar

Thank you Ems.
