Glad you found it useful! I think I would recommend it, as long as you're ok
with the fan. It's not a quiet drive by any means. There is a nice LaCie
(2big Quadra) that has two removable drives that also looks good. I just
couldn't find it to buy, but you may have more success than I.

@Tom,

With the school we just talked with the teacher at the beginning of the year, and explained the situation. The teacher was AWESOME, and so they asked for a list of safe snacks and recipies for cake, and they just keep things separate. The teacher even thought it through to the play doh and egg carton issues, and has been checking with me about various things. So it's been very well handled.

The school also has a nut free policy, so there are no peanuts or tree nuts to worry about. They have even changed what they sell for school fundraising (the classic chocolate covered almonds and so on) to something else, because of the nut issue. That's pretty amazing.

@churchpunkmom when I think about it, I know that there are many other things that could be much worse, and that parents deal with and cope with things that are much more difficult than food allergies. So I count myself blessed as well.

It's funny, that once you start, and put the procedures in place, so to speak, things just become natural and second nature. But because foods and ingredients can change, you can't really get complacent about it, you have to always stay on top of things.

maybe, but not really in Canada. There's no movies to speak of, and
the TV shows are very limited.

hey, no problem! now that pownce is open and out of closed invites
only stage, I wonder if more people will join? I'm still on it, but I
don't really use it too regularly. Twitter seems to have won my

Thanks for the comment! Rayman and the Ravin Rabbids... yeah, they played it
at a friend's place, and you're right it's a little violent. I actually
found the settings and the Gladiator theme kind of dark, especially for
kids. Not to mention cruelty to cows. :) From the looks of it, Rayman 2
isn't so dark, but I think I'll stay away from that at home for now.

Rentals are our friend, that way we can try it out and see if it's
appropriate or not, and how high the repeat playability factor is.
