Then I bought iPhone 6+ and then 7+, but I am still going back to an Android phone soon. The only reason why I bought iPhones is because they have a great camera hardware/software. In the last couple of years, Samusng, LG and Pixel (last year) have proved that their cameras do take great photo shots. So I am going to buy Samsung Note 8 next month.

On many levels, I prefer the Android ecosystem over the iOS ecosystem. Don't get me wrong. I like iOS, but it has limitations for my taste.

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow market share is a puny 1.2% | BGR

I found it. It is already set up as Google as a default for Safari. If I try to search something in Spotlight, I would have to scroll down all the way to the bottom until I see Web Search. I am
talking the feature that Bing does suggestions in the Spotlight Search. I remembered seeing that a couple of times that Bing would suggest a couple of them. but I couldn't see them anymore. I
suppose it is because I change to Google. Oh well.

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow market share is a puny 1.2% | BGR

Thanks for letting me know. Where exactly do I find that in iOS setting that allows me to change from Bing to another search engine?

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow market share is a puny 1.2% | BGR

That is why I stick to the Nexus line to get better features and faster OS updates.

I like iOS, but I still prefer Android's functionality and features. Sure, iOS devices have better quality, camera, and better OS and its quick updates. I agree that Android needs some improvement on their OS ecosystem. I will admit that Nexus devices still have a hit-and-miss for the camera. Sometimes it takes great photos, sometimes it is not. iPhone has the best camera hardware, which I do use to take photos anywhere I go. I give kudos to Apple for getting 800 people to work on the camera. I hope that Google will invest more on their future Nexus camera hardware. But I am not leaving for Android for something less, like features, that does not have in iOS that I used most in Android.

There are one of couple of things that I missed the most in iOS is universally app sharing like it does in Android. Sure, iOS does not have app sharing extensions, which is great. But not for all apps are available in that extension yet. For example, I am still waiting for Hangouts to be added to one of app sharing extensions (I know that it is not Apple's fault. It is Google's). I use Hangouts quite a lot; it would be nice to add in iOS's sharing extension. FYI, I don't use iMessage because it is is not universally available on Android or Windows. It is great for people who use Apples products all the way, but I don't. I like using different OS platforms. Not only the Hangouts, but I also tried to edit a photo after I take a shot to another app, like Camera+, on iOS, and it is not added to the extension yet (last time I checked it is not). :-/ I suppose that I am used to universal app sharing in Android for a long time. I guess I am spoiled.

The iOS's Today View, Suggestion, Nearby and News still sucks. I prefer Google's Google Now better. Also, iOS search is set default to Microsoft's Bing. I don't like Bing. I prefer Google. I don't think I can find anywhere in the setting to change the Search engine, unfortunately.

I will give that credit to Apple's iOS app store has better apps than Google's Android does, because iOS apps require less coding and Apple pays Developers very well. I hope that Android coding will get easier and cut down on coding. Right now, they will change from from Oracle's Java to OpenJava in Android N. Also, the fragmentation is still an issue; it still stuck on Kit Kat and Jelly Beans. But Android has more free apps than iOS, which I don't have to pay a lot of money on them. My pet peeves about app settings for iOS: Most of apps are required to make changes by going to iOS Global Settings. It is annoying especially I want to make some changes in the setting while I am already in the app. I had to get out to go to the global setting to do it. I do not have to do that in Android.

Seriously, I would go on forever on this topic... but I am happy for you who made the switch to iOS from Android and are happy with the result. It is important for a person to be happy with the device and its OS itself. I am very happy with Android and I happen to have one of best Android devices on the market - Huawei Nexus. :-D

Re: LG G4 Has Inbuilt Chromecast Support

Okay, I already tried it out, and you are right. Any apps with Chromecast support does not require a Chromecast app to function. Now when Dinsan, the writer of this post, said LG G4 will have a Chromecast built in, I think, he probably mean that you can use the Chromecast fully for screencasting without needing the Chromecast app? Currently, you need a Chromecast app to screencast. If that is true, then it would be awesome!

Re: LG G4 Has Inbuilt Chromecast Support

Yeah. That is what I am gonna do when I get home and try it without the app... but I will still need it because not all apps that support Chromecast. I am a cable cutter myself. I rely a lot on video streaming over Internet.

Re: LG G4 Has Inbuilt Chromecast Support

Hmm, really? It is the only reason why I had Chromecast app downloaded because I thought it is needed to cast from the apps that support it and screen-casting.

Re: LG G4 Has Inbuilt Chromecast Support

Hmm, I have LG G3. I know that I can do a screencast using Miracast without needing a Chromecast app, but I noticed that it is still buggy, so I had to use the Chromecast app to work. However, for the apps that support Chromecast, we still need the the app to work!

I hope it is true that LG G4 has a Chromecast built in, which I think it is great. That is how it works in newer Nexus products. I happen to own Nexus 9 and I didn't have to download the Chromecast app because I can do it from the status bar setting. But I cannot say if it will work without the app in LG G4 until I own it!

Re: What’s the best Android phone to buy? It is the best phone I ever had so far sans Touchwiz, though it doesn't sport 4.2.2 or 4.3m but I heard that it may skip 4.2.2 and go straight to 4.3. I hope it is true.

Re: What’s the best Android phone to buy? Though it may not have 1080, but 720 is still qualified as a HD screen, right? It has a Clear Pixel (thought I haven't seen photos how it looks like but shows promising), not but might not as HTC's Ultra Pixel.

Re: What’s the best Android phone to buy? If selling cheap, that would make sense that it come with 2000mAh battery. But I am hopeful that they would go with a mega battery for a great deal.

Re: White Moto X and profile shot shown in new renders; FCC says 2200mAh battery on board

Me too. I was hoping that it would come with 3000 mAh, or even better rumored 4400 that I heard. We will see. I think all smart phones should have no more than 3000, that would last a day definitely with a 4-6 hours screen usage.

Re: [Update: Winners] Win One Of Five 'Frankie Frost' Collectible Android Figurines From Android Police And Dead Zebra

I couldnt post a win comment about what is my favorite thing about the holiday... how do I do that?

Re: Ask me anything - Reeder for Chrome (Unofficial)

I love the Reeder for Chrome but I notice there is no Preview arrow. But you would need to get a File URL address from GitHUB before you could install it via FileCoaster. It works great! The new Foursquare app looks great!

Re: Better than paper towels and a lot less expensive...

Thanks!

Re: technogeek's notes - I am in the line for BGR free burger. 20 mins from...

No I did get the free burger.
