Cooking Hacks was out of stock of the basic kits at the time of my order which really decided things.

Re: rcexplorer tricopter body by ennui2342 - Thingiverse

See peddiparth's remix for US sizes: http://www.thingiverse.com/...

Re: rcexplorer tricopter body by ennui2342 - Thingiverse

I've not had any problems. When I crash, repeatedly, the damage is to the spars (that's why they're wood). I think you'd have to do something special to break the centre plate.

Re: rcexplorer tricopter body by ennui2342 - Thingiverse

Should be 3mm. Certainly the number of crashes I've had which were hard enough to snap the armatures are into double digits and the body has never suffered.

Re: Questions and Myths About PhoneGap

Another smaller service to add to the list: Nomad (www.vsnomad.com) brings PhoneGap into Visual Studio, tightly integrating a cloud build service to support one click builds for iOS and Android.

Re: BBC Hacks into GMail Account Over WIFI. I have to point out that this wasn't Giles' mistake, but one I introduced upon proofing which I'm sure I will not hear the end of in the office!

OL has worked with NCC to hold the iChIS source code over the past few years, and are very happy with the service which is why we've worked with them to provide this facility for evince. Howvere, as both comments have pointed out, should a customer require an alternative provider of escrow services we are happy to meet this requirement and you should make sure you're totally happy with any service offered before ticking the escrow box in your procurement.

Re: Section 12 guidance hits the streets

With a widened and more integrated agenda, it is true that there is increasing overlap with heavy-hitters who are specialists in other areas such as education. However, we still feel strongly that to fully meet the requirements of the information duty, local authorities need to look to specialist suppliers who can deliver both the understanding and capability to support CIS' in the implementation of the Childcare Act. A smaller, faster company can often deliver more innovation and greater customer focus, than a larger supplier, and in a fast-moving policy landscape this should be a key concern in choosing your partners.

We would expect that our track record of delivering the iChIS system and the CCL infrastructure at both a local and national level for many years, bears out our capability and professionalism as an IT supplier. We have been underpinning over 100 CIS' with IT infrastructure through the CCL contract and we will be maintaining the same levels of service to local authorities going forwards with evince.

Re: What is on tonight? As is said above the lead time and rapid obsolescence of the hardware is difficult to manage unless you're a big service.

Practically all they have to do is setup Joost as a upnp server. The xbox 360 can act as a upnp media renderer and your content can be streamed over your home network from your tv to this or any other upnp renderer such as windows media center.

Re: Google Poaching Beacon Partners For "Universal Activity Stream"

Don't forget Google's acquisition of Jaiku which can already fulfil the role of providing an aggregated lifestream based on RSS feeds from your social apps.

I would agree with Chris - this is trying to invent something that already exists in Jaiku, Plaxo pulse and others. Lifestreming does not require a new technology to get off the ground, just easier setup (as Plaxo has somewhat achieved) plus more openness in terms of RSS output from the apps you already use.

Re: Here comes the iPhone – want to win one?

He was referring to unlocking the iPhone
