Interesting idea about the remote driver pools. I like that.

I think the very next step (and we're nearly there imo) will be a highway only self driving. Let the machine take over once you hit the highway but take back control when you get back into city limits.

One example company here is Cruise. Have you explored them much yet?

Definitely agree on Siri. I was hoping for a lot more there in the keynote.

Personally I was mainly disappointed in it from a running and workouts perspective. With no GPS in gen 1 you'd need to carry your phone for any pace, distance, route, etc: http://readwrite.com/2014/0...

Interesting point about the density of cities in Asia and less need for on-demand services.

But does that apply to P2P and the sharing economy too? Seems like there would still be a big need for sharing bigger ticket items like real estate, cars, etc. For example, since there's less of a car culture than the U.S., doesn't that make for an even bigger need for the Getarounds and RelayRides of the world?

Definitely heating up between the two of them. I expect to see Charles Schwab get a lot more aggressive too. Just today I saw an Intelligent Portfolios billboard takeover on the Yahoo Finance homepage (and those ain't cheap).

Bigger picture I agree with Tadas though: it's all to the benefit of the individual investor.

Last year I was traveling abroad so I called in advance to let BofA know I was out of the country and to allow my credit card. Yet of course when I arrived and tried to use for the first time it still got declined. And I hear that story a lot. They really do need a big data fix.
