So Jung might say "Well, in German society X is repressed and Y is allowed to roam openly, but in the France Y is repressed and X is given free reign."

In a crisis, Jung would say you become trapped and hobbled by what you've been repressing. As I live in the US its harder for me to analyze the society. I'm not sure what people are thinking. I'll venture one guess however: the most repugnant idea to American culture is the idea that things don't get better, that life doesn't improve. That's my best shot. I just think a no-growth period in the US would be very hard on our psyche.

G

Re: How can we “shape serendipity”?

done :) http://twitter.com/tdavidson/status/4638885409

Re: How can we “shape serendipity”?

what was your traveling camera on this last trip? and, as befits the new era, can you answer on twitter? i never get back to blog posts i commented on :-) ... lol

Re: The Alignment of Asset Reflation and a Collapsed Economy

first, perfect, perfect, photo ..

pretty soon we are going to have to be talking about collective consciousness, just because there seems no other way to talk about the disconnect between the economy and the market ... what the heck is going on in people's minds?

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/10/its-twitters-world-second-parallel.html

twitter for me now is the most exceptional thing on the internet .. i don't need rss, blogs, friendfeed, newpapers, or tv .. i follow amazing people in several disciplines and on several continents, and my plate is gloriously full

Re: My web site is my space (Scripting News)

agree ..

google side-wiki is another way to empower the lowest common denominator, and that is the best that can happen

Re: Gen X [meme]: Slackers, Sellouts or Saviors

oh, slacking is generation-non-specific, runs right across and through the years/generations/incarnations ... as to rage, waste of energy, but that is not seen for a few years/generations/incarnations ...

love trumps slack, is another topic .. :-)
