Hey JB! Great to see a comment from you, thank you for taking the time to visit and get caught up. The apartment is nice, and it's exciting to start from scratch. The job is awesome and totally challenging so I haven't put much time in decorating but I will once I'm more settled at work. You're right about the tour. Once I get a little furniture I will vlog about it.

That's too bad... wish you still had it since we put the list together after one of our last Sony Dad calls (if I remember right, you were not on the call or had gotten off by the time we talked about this.) I may add it to a blog post as it's great info to have some recommended books.

Hi Bruce, your story reminds me of my nephew who is an English major at San Francisco State University. When I lived in SF I'd have him over every so often to study (and so I could make sure he got a home cooked meal.) I have to say the weight of his backpack made me cringe and I even think I had sympathy back aches from seeing the textbooks he lugged around. I'm not sure if SFSU has an ebook program yet, but ebooks seem like the way things are headed. I've actually been thinking a Reader would be a great gift for my nephew. Like I mentioned, he's an english major. He loves books and reading and I think an ebook is another great way to have access to stories... not a replacement, but definitely a nice way to lighten the load.

Hi Ray! Always nice to see a note from you! Thanks for paying attention =) As you know, I'm getting comfortable in my new role at Sony. Hey, I was thinking of posting one or 2 of the videos here to give my friends and family a taste of the work I get to do. What do you think? Any of the Sony post I've done strike you as good material for my personal blog? I was thinking some of the stuff from NYC and the VAIO event.. and maybe the product I got to announce, the S-Series Photo Printer... any thoughts on this topic? --sukhjit

Heather! I was so psyched when I saw your comment a while back! Thanks a million for leaving me a note. Yeah, it's totally true about leaving San Francisco. I sometimes can't believe that I don't live there anymore but you are so right there is awesomeness everywhere. I smile every day after I notice something else I think is cool about SD. It's good.

So, it is really interesting to see this shift in content.. especially to have come from traditional media. But what's the most powerful thing in this phase of content is the real connection with your audience. It's exactly what I was missing when I worked in TV.

So, thank you again for the note and hope you forgive me for the late response. I've been so overwhelmed with new town, new job, new operating system!!! You know what I mean.

You are KILLING me! I love Aibo! I had one for a short time while I worked at the travel channel. It was part of a segment I did... I can't remember on what, but I got to keep it for about a month. It was so cute, unfortunately much like a real dog, it needed to be trained and I didn't have the patience. Good luck with your search. I'll ask around.. though I kind of already did and just found out about they've been discontinued too.

Eric! How are you? Yeah, let me tell you ... I've been hanging out at a lot of internet cafes since I moved. It's actually been kind of a good thing for me... to get out and discover this town. I think you'd like SD a lot.

So what are you getting from the Sony? Do tell?! I'm amazed that I didn't know you were a Sony Fan. =)

You can drag the Project file itself in the new version (1.8) of the GData code. At the time of writing, I believe I was using version 1.7 of the code. It has since been updated. I'll be updating the post accordingly.

Yes, you do need to do all of this. Otherwise, you won't be able to fully access all the data. It sounds like you missed an #import statement somewhere. If it's not too confidential, you may want to either post what you're trying to link to, or try contacting Greg at the GData Objective-C Google Group [ http://groups.google.com/group/gdata-objectivec... ]. He may be able to help you further.

I do agree that it puts an extra dependency. You could use IntenseDebate if you're using WordPress as they're both owned by the same parent company. As for it taking a long time to load. There's too many variables. It could be the Disqus servers having a slow response, the AJAX code having a hiccup or just a slower connection. Have you tried it with the newly released version of Disqus. It was updated sometime in the past month with some pretty big changes.

For using the Google APIs it doesn't really matter which one you pick. If you're doing the Tab Bar functionality, that's a good one to chose. If you're going to do everything in code, I'd chose Window or View Based. Otherwise, Tab Bar and Navigation are just as good. They all work well with the Google APIs.

Three20 on the other hand, I'd go with Window Based or View Based for sure.
