I wonder if David still wants to do that road trip? We'll have to work out something interesting to document that if it hapens.

Re: Beatport Downloader AIR Application

It isn't documented anywhere, but there is a REST api that I'm assuming you could use to list tracks etc. Crack open Firebug to see what is being called where on the site. Course I don't really know what their terms of use are and you'll definitely need to check with Beatport about that.

Re: 10 Web 2.0 Services I Use - And You Should Too!

hahha, I was thinking there must be something like this! But I think snurl is short enough that its simple name is a better guarantor of widespread adoption of the service than the length of the name (diminishing returns on that front...).

Re: 10 Web 2.0 Services I Use - And You Should Too!

How about <a href="http://is.gd" rel="nofollow">http://is.gd</a> because snurl is too long? :)

Re: Joining the Disqus-tion

Outstanding, I hope I do too :-)

Re: Joining the Disqus-tion

Disqus is a pretty nice system and I've had luck with is so far!

Re: Beatport Downloader 1.0 officially launched!

They do have a pretty robust API for their services - it just isn't public. My thought is that they and the artists they serve up are a little worried about security, rights etc. Of course I don't actually work at Beatport so I don't know their true motives - also they are a relatively small company so I'm sure resource allocation for projects can be interesting. Just my 2 cents though.

Re: HOW TO: Delete an XML node using E4X

Yeah really. We change its visibility and add/removing event listeners where appropriate. <br><br>We did have to do some data tracking to manage when the list showed so the user could dismiss the list box and keep typing - that was the only hic-up we really encountered though.

Re: Cursor postion in a flex TextArea control using the TextLineMetrics class

Honestly its been so long since I've look at that code I'll have to go play with it, but I'll check it out again and get back to you about what I find out. - John
