Sorry for the confusion. To clarify, this is my personal blog, in which I write about a range of things but mainly about what we're up to at The Star-Ledger. I guess i thought that the word "comment" on the bottom of a page headed "the exploding newsroom" and below Brian Donohue's broadcast meant that this was the place to comment on both of them. From an outsider's prespective that is what it looks like. So I was commenting on the fact that neither the exploding newsroom nor the broadcast actually states exactly what it is- once again from the outsiders' perspective.

I actually think it's just fine the way it is, John. I'd love to see some unscripted one-on-ones between Brian and some reporters maybe, but apart from that I'd say keep on doing what you're doing.

Thanks for the kind early reviews. (We're big fans of Rocketboom, so that comparison made me smile.) We're going to keep plugging away at this and see where it takes us. If you have ideas to improve it, we're all ears.

Agreed. One of the advantages we have, in this respect, is that our online company's CMS is Movable Type. So our newsroom is really just a bunch of bloggers (from a technical point of view), and when we link out, it's blog-to-blog.
