Yes. Technically people living in French Canada are Latinos. The word Latino refers to AMERICANS of Hispanic descent. Outside the United States, they don't speak of Latinos; but speak of Mexicans, Colombians, Peruvians, etc. Like the term African-American and Asian-American, Latino is an arbitrary generic term.

It's as if the white Americans got together and said -- "We'll have German-American, Irish-American, etc. but it's too much trobule for us to figure all these other people."

I agree with you. The term African American is meaningless. Technically Egyptians and Libyans are African.

There are all black neighbourhoods in Brooklyn and Queens where the population self-identifies as Caribbean-American (West Indian). Black != African American.

I've updated my position on this. As the writer said.

Both Flickr and Google could always renege on whatever deal they currently are marketing out there. Google Photos was made for mobile users, not for more high megapixel storage people like me, etc. etc. etc.

I agree. So ... I've moved my images to my own web site and syndicate them to Facebook, Google Photos, Instagram and Flickr with links back to my website.

But to be clear ... Mr. Brenizer did not name the method nor did he call it a panorama. Others did. And in this case, doing a a stitch at f/22 and doing a stitch at f/2.8 do not yield the same results. Have you tried this or working from assumption?

I have found Thom Hogan's web site to be a reliable source of analysis regarding the camera industry. He doesn't care if it's DSLR or mirrorless or medium format. Have you read High-End Unavailability or What Goes Away Isn't Camera Companies?

Here's an excerpt.

In truth there are multiple customers in photography. The one type of customer that the camera companies seem to know how to win over is the one that is critically demanding of "more" pretty much across the board. More pixels, more dynamic range, more focus speed, more frame rate, more everything. And it seems obvious they're willing to pay for the privilege. So if you fall in that group, be careful what you wish for. I'm now hearing rumblings from multiple companies about >US$5000 projects they've got in the pipeline.

Why not? If I click the "Buy" button for an App then I obviously want to purchase it. Why can't the screen grab my fingerprint when I press the Buy button at the same time and authorize in one single press?

You are extrapolation from one simple statement -- which is proven to be factual -- to making assumptions based on your own biases.

You will find that some of the people in the photography community as tribal. They bought what they bought and they want to feel like their purchase was the "most perfect right one" to make. So ... Sony had to be better than Fuji because that's what I bought. Canon is better than Sony, because that's what I bought. MILC is better than DSLR because that's what I bought. Anything to indicate that their brand/choice of technology is not "winning" the market, leads to endless arguments about technology.

What purpose is the technology supposed to serve? Is your passion for photography only related to the technology or the joy or photographing something?
