stolen from my house a few years ago.... :( they took a near impeccable condition Nikon F3 with a brand new MD-4 motor drive (sounded great and i think it was the opening camera firing sound in the 'Girls on Film' song from Duran Duran ;) and with that one my precious oldie a black Nikon F2 Photomic with a pristine and very rare MD-2 motor drive.

it was not a good day.

Jay, i enjoyed your tutorial on diptychs with Lightroom, one thing leads to another and i enjoyed your body of work and your style. thanks for the compliments :) i'm just another guy trying to make his way in freelance world (quit my full time job in a main newspaper here in Lisbon some time ago), still tweaking my website, will be done soon :)

the lx3 is a fine camera as well! got some friends with one of those and even the movies are really good quality... actually this guy here had one and has a leica d-lux3 - which is basically the same camera - and he loved it. did some pretty cool stuff with it. check out the "lx3" tags there...

not a bit! but it's definitely not a typical 'point and shoot' for you vacation.... :)

whatever i say about it is biased, because i've owned a GR since the very first model and have been a very happy owner. lens quality is great (nearly no distortion for a 28mm!), several options like spot metering and easy configurable buttons, size (pretty much the size of a pack of smokes) and since the GR2, photographing in RAW format is faster than the first one and has normal writing speed for a camera of this type.

Ricoh markets the GR in the 'professional' area, and indeed it's the perfect 'photo note taking' camera. small, you control a lot of stuff that you're used to control in a pro DSLR and the file is very good. since the first GR some friends and i even started publishing pictures made with in newspapers and magazines. it was up to the task.

one of these days i'm writing a post on 'the cameras of my life' :) the GR2 reminds me a lot of a little camera i use to have, the Olympus mju (it was small, lightweight, had a superb 35mm lens that would make any slide look good, velvias, kodachromes, you name it) and it was the kind of camera you carry with you all the time.

just like the GRD :)

p.s. the Olymus Pen rebirth is an interesting challenge to the GR IMO.... let's see how it goes. my current Gr2 is in the yard, with a little bump in the lens... and i miss it!

yo me decanto por las nalgas... creo que de ser los pechos deberian de verse un poco las aureolas que rodean los pezones... ademas ahi donde empieza la separacion el color de la piel se parece mas a la que se ve en los traseros que no en los escotes...
las marcas aparecen al trastearla con el programa Poladroid.
