Hi Jim. Yeah, it'll be a while before mass adoption happens, but as with many Google products, this will have quite a bit of momentum in the next few years.

It will be awhile until useful patterns emerge that are more efficient than what we have now. We'll just have to wait and see.

That's up to Google. The invitation isn't actually an invitation... it's a nomination. Sounds like Goog does a little background check before actually handing out an acct.

Jake, you're right, I don't want to spend more time on it any more. I'm pretty much done. Frankly, I like that the appslab logo is small... content is king -- not our "brand." Re: the links on the sidebar, I experimented with different treatments. Maybe I'll change the color slightly.

I have a few packets of those (cilantro, basil) set to go for next year. I tend to buy local seeds though, assuming that they have been grown in soil like mine.

You grew a lot of stuff, impressive. I'm waiting on my Fall seeds: radishes, cilantro, parsley, romaine lettuce, carrots, spinach, and broccoli. Hoping to save the basil and sage I grew this Summer. Next Spring will be a big one.

I've been experimenting with seeds lately (http://seedsofchange.com) I just ordered some broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, cabbage, peas, and garlic. This summer we grew about 5 different varieties of tomatoes, zucchini, radish, chard, beets, beans, watermelon, cantaloupe, carrots, onions, cucumber, and a few other things. It was a pretty good Summer... great dirt helped.

I'm also a closet gardener. This year's veggie garden was very successful. Aside from that, I'm into RC sail planes... although I haven't done that in a while.

+1 for Threadless, that would *rock*.

The thing about New Web is you're going to get people like "Heretic" who hate you. If you can't handle the hate, you're not ready, Grasshopper. That's the negative side-effect of allowing everyone access to publish.

I like the approach taken though, i.e. out this dude as a complete tool to everyone.

Totally agree. Everyone is entitled to their opinion... whether it's good or bad. However, this type of behavior is what makes people not want to share their creations.

As an aside, I've been thinking about submitting some designs on http://threadless.com. Hopefully the community of voters there aren't as harsh as the dude you point out above.
