Scrivere a pagamento un post? Se mi avessi chiamato mi avresti colto del tutto impreparato, l'unica cosa di cui sono certo e' che avrei accettato solo a patto di poter dichiarare che il post era "sponsorizzato".
Non so se devo ringraziare il fatto di starti antipatico, per non essere stato coinvolto, ma di certo mi induci a riflettere su qualcosa che non avevo neppure preso in considerazione. Grazie.

Maybe there's a little misunderstanding due to an incorrect use of a phrase by my fault.

When i wrote
"I can’t see why should anyone blog if he’s not interested in hear what readers think" - I meant that according to my point of view... it works this way, but not that it should be the same for anyone.

Someone maybe is not interested in hearing from readers, nothing to say about it, but as the conversation is one of the reasons I write for, can't see why one should not use comments.

As a separated statement, anyway, I think that someone consider himself to be cool, if he doesn't allow comments. But it's a secondary aspect of the whole picture.

Comments can raise the value of your work, or it can distract and detract from that value. It's a choice, a trade-off to make. I just take issue with your implied statement that there's no legitimate use for a blog without comments ("I can’t see why should anyone blog if he’s not interested in hear what readers think").

Not every blog needs to be part of a conversation. Not every blog post needs to yield space and attention to a list of comments. Not every website that happens to have a bunch of entries in reverse chronological order and an RSS feed aspires to be a community.

If you look at the most popular blogs, the most successful, and even -- I bet, but I can't know for sure since I don't know your tastes -- the best and the most interesting, you'll find that they vary wildly in how much and in what ways they encourage reader response. And that's *fine*. It's a choice. It's fine to make that choice or its opposite. I just don't see why you would question the legitimacy of those who choose differently from you.

As to your idea that it's just to be cool, I don't even know what to say. Second-guessing motives is supposed to in any way illuminate the issue? I think not.

Well, I was not criticizing who doesn't like comments, I just said I don't agree with them.
Who writes a book, a magazine column and so over, maybe would like to have a "add new comment" button on it, but just he can't.

Anyway, what I mean is that I believe comments can take more value to what anyone writes, as a part of the conversation. That's why I like them, that's why I choose to have them.
And even the possibility to talk to who doesn't agree with me - or partially agree - is valuable.

Furthermore, sometimes I think who doesn't want comments, thinks it's a way to be cool.
Not everyone, but someone, maybe.
