Thanks for the kind words! We're a small local broker focusing exclusively on local communities. It only makes since for my agents to share local knowledge with the community. It makes even more since for me to hire a Community Advocate who works for the brokerage to strengthen bonds with our community. We believe you have to give before you get in life.

Deryk: you could not be more accurate about Kevin. His determination to do things his way and the success that followed his path was tangible. He was one of the best Realtors I have ever known and we were proud to have him join our family at Maxsell. However, his qualities as a person stood tall (as Kevin did himself) above his skills as a Realtor. He was great at being a friend, great at life, and great as a family man. I miss him already and our world is less without him.

Thanks Kim. The list is no disrespect to the hundreds of other people I follow. I enjoy them all, otherwise I would unfollow them. There is no doubt I left out some quality twits, such as yourself, but I had to start and stop somewhere. I think of this list as a great start, plus you will find most of the other quality RE Twits just be seeing who these people tweet with, follow and who follows them.

I couldn't agree more with Doug. A seasoned commercial agent can make a big difference in getting the deal done right. Attorney's are also helpful when drafting complex agreements or adding special stipulations to an agreement.

I didn't comment to get credit. We never publicize our pro bono work in our local marketplace either. I simply support NAR promoting what already happens. Putting it in a policy would only give substance to an already present fact.

I see I was the first to respond on that post and perhaps failed to read the follow-up comments. We have continued to do pro bono work at Maxsell Real Estate. In fact, just yesterday I gave all commissions to the buyer to be used as a 3% down payment on their first home. Her brother will be buying soon and is a VA buyer, I will be helping him in a smaller manner.

How much is too much? Great question. I will stop syndicating to specific sites when they prove to be bullies with my data. Until then, I feel that I owe it to all of our clients to promote their properties as much as possible on the internet.

We handle all syndication at the brokerage level. So our agents can focus on servicing our clients and not worrying with feeds or formats. The cost/benefit scale is still developing. These syndication services haven't been around long enough to really get a good graph of performance. However, I do like Listhub's reporting features, in the last 30 days we have had 165 specific property-page views from our syndication services alone. This is of course outside of Realtor.com syndication and our direct website. That's about $0.35 per page-view last month, not bad considering what print advertising costs for just one phone call.
