The same plan could easily be used for weight gain. It covers everything from mental, nutritional, supplementation and training. One a single page you can get a really good overview of what it will take to achieve your goals. I'm really glad you liked it.

Re: Tom Venuto: Uncensored and Unedited Interview

I created this short video on How to subscribe to the podcast using iTunes. http://screenr.com/GDN

Re: The Alignment of Asset Reflation and a Collapsed Economy

I'm sure we can look to behaviour in the previous Depression for idea. If you can't eat beef, turkey, eggs or dairy.. then it's not really going to be worthwhile. You'd have to do so much modifications you'd be a chef. But since then, the pressure to make meals and not just force myself to do them has vanished. I found something I can identify with that fits my "I dislike" cooking attitude. Certainly used to be unfishished business or unresolved issues. That was a gap. Nutrition is important but I can't live life with oatmeal, egg whites and chicken breasts! But I can't stand cooking nor difficult meals.

Carlos.. you nailed it. And once I found something to connect me with making food easy to cook and helped me thru the pains of learning how to do it simply, I feel... relieved.

Re: The Steroid User Next Door

Brian,

Great reply! You listed your thoughts and I didn't find it to be a ramble. I felt the article pointed out some other uses and reasons why people might take them beyond the obvious bodybuilding aspect.

I found the 14 year old who needed to be 170 lbs really fast for the 19 year old who "tried everything" to be sadder cases. The bodybuilder who's experienced with years under the belt is not even in the same boat as some 14 year old that is confused and immediately heads down the path without even being old enough to consider the ramifications.

When it comes to steroids... it's always pro sports or bodybuilders.

But there's many others who are taking or would take them for many other reasons than to get huge or be at the top of their game.

It's a different perspective. One I found interesting as I didn't think about it because it wasn't in my field of vision.

Re: When is the best time to take creatine?

Myth: Muscle turns to fat.

Fact: It atrophys. Gets smaller if not used. But it doesn't become something else.

When you stop taking creatine, some people will lose that "extra" strength. Or feeling they can do a few more reps. Creatine supplies the muscles with ATP. Energy for more contractions and muscle firing to do more work.

When you stop, if you respond that is in the first place, you will just not have the extra ATP in surplus to be able to pump out a few more reps.

You don't lose anything per se because creatine itself does not build muscle. The more intense, harder workouts people claim they get from taking it may cause a stalemate or a less intense workout and maybe less muscle mass but stopping creatine will not cause a lose of anything. Except some extra water weight becuase of cell volumization.

Re: Here’s a Healthy Breakfast

Instead of Udo's Oil.. you can just add in the healthy fat sources like an avocado, almonds, sunflower seeds.. etc. Udo's Oil just makes it easy to add this as a tasteless alternative to the meal in question. But you can certainly add in healthy fat real whole foods sources.

Egg white scramble with an avocado for example.

Re: Here’s a Healthy Breakfast

Udo's Choice Oil Blend is just a balanced combination of , all-natural, unrefined oils that help meet your daily essential fatty acid requirements. Instead of getting the Omega 3-6-9 combination from fish, this blend gets it essential fatty acid complex from plant sources. Flax oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, evening primrose oil (13 mg GLA per Tbsp.), rice germ and bran oil, soy lecithin (GMO-free), oat germ and brand oil, tocotrienols.

You can get Omega 3, 6 and 9's from a combination of nuts, plants and of course fish. Although fish oil on this particular meal would be - interesting. Such things include:

* olives
* peanuts
* almonds
* cashews
* pistachios
* pumpkin seeds
* avocados
* salmon
* and many more

As you can see, if you add real foods to the above meal, you can indeed get your essential fatty acid complex from plant or animal sources.

If you create your own substitute be careful not to add too much and increase the calories too high (easy to do with essential fatty acids) or focus on a single Omega like Flax where it's six times the amount of Omega 3 vs. Omega 6. If all you did was add Flax to the above meal, you'd have more than enough Omega 3 but lacking in the 6 complex.

An example would be flax with sunflower and olive oil. It would include the Omega 3, 6 and 9 combination.

My point is, if you do substitute or make your own don't get too focused on one source as any source you will find will lean towards one of the Omegas more than the others. You'll need to make up a substitution from different sources in order to balance you essential acid complex out.

Re: Weight Loss Tips: A Step-by-Step MindMap

@George - Thank you. The one for gaining muscle is similar. It's just a matter of being in a slight calorie surplus. Many times the nutrition change alone is enough to switch between burning fat and building muscle. The workouts in many cases are the same (except for lifting super heavy on a calorie deficit is a bit hard). But yes, very similar. Extremely similar. Mostly nutritional manipulation.

Re: 7 Causes Of High Food Prices

And maybe you could learn how to post a decent comment?

Re: 7 Causes Of High Food Prices

I figured that if I lied maybe you'd like me more?
