The writers of the show are up front about taking some liberties with the story. They wanted to do so in order to add an element of surprise for those familiar with the books. Shifting Richards relations with Rahl does appear to be a big change but I'm curious to see if they can still stay true to the elements and the spirit of the story in the books. What do you think: Does changing Richard and Rahl's relations to each other has an impact on the spirit of the story?

I don't think it is fair to say that this T-shirt is making fun of any religion.

It is simply a joke at the expense of Kadaj and the other remnants who summoned Bahamut Sin in their attempt to bring back Sephiroth to avenge the death of Jenova.

I too have worked in the service industry and it definitely helped to pay the bills where it was completely ethical.
That is what I love about Dollhouse, it makes us look at the situation from another perspective and for me I am not bothered about hiring another person so long as it is a act of free will and not for the purpose to deceive. Though I'm still pondering what the not to deceive means there can be situations where it would make sense and not do harm but I haven't figured out how to clearly delineate the differences.

We are diligently working on the reboot of everything and are also chomping at the bit to get another seeker podcast out :) I can assure you that we will get new episodes out if not before the start of the season then by the start of the season. A teaser of some stuff to come I will get a group together for fans of LOTS / SOT over in our community at Project Shadow.com we are gathering together video's, pictures, and as much fan works as we can get our hands on. We will also have discussions there too. If you have anything you would like to contribute head over and join in the fun :)

Season 5 will not end airing on TV until September 30. This means that typically we won't see a DVD release for about 6 months though last season was split into two parts where they released the first half of the season early before the season ended then the second half was released 6 months latter. Since they have not mentioned a release yet and we are looking at 3 more episodes to go I doubt we will see it soon.

I'm glad you also found the battle fun.

The battle starts out as you put it a mortal, albeit incredibly mighty, fighting in the land of the gods and the Hulk looses that fight verses Thor but then Loki looses control.

From the mythic perspective this is when the Hulk ascends and becomes a god, a god of rage. The rest of the fight is symbolic of the gods wrestling with rage. No matter how powerful any god is once it is faced with pure rage will loose fighting it.

The symbolism is a beautiful one and classic for Norse mythology. This is why in the end any fighting of the rage lost. The only way to stop the god Hulk is to calmly face the rage and sublimate it. Symbolizing how we ourselves can not defeat the rage within by fighting it we can only defeat it by being brave and facing the rage calming and sublimating it.

Well, they kind of are, but no more than Hulu or Youtube.

Boxee is trying to make TV more social, and allows users to recommend shows to their friends. It is not perfect, but it is pretty good.

This is about more than just a movie.

As a gay man, I know how important it was growing up to see people like me on the screen. Every child needs role models. Whether we want to admit it or not, this change will have a harmful effect on children who are fans of the original series, and it will rob others of the role models they should have had.

Thank you very much Kita for enjoying the podcast. We have not canceled the show nor have we put up any more recent episodes yet. In July we gained some clarity and became inspired on a better direction that we want to take dashPunk and Project Shadow. This direction is still the vision of what we set out to do: create a place where fans can gather and share with other fans their love of what they are fans of which includes SOT / Legend of the Seeker! Passion = Life
Though we were over joyed to get clarity of vision we like Richard accepted our quest and have now embarked on the difficult journey to make the vision come true. We have fought our way through the veil into the midlands and are now in talks with the strong mud people.
This quest has consumed most of our time and we unfortunately have not had a moment yet to get another episode done though we will as soon as we can. In the mean time if you would like to discuss anything please feel free to start a forum discussion here in Project Shadow and check out the posts at dashPunk.

That's my thought exactly... what's the point?
If your going to explore the paranormal they need to point out the odd quirky occurrences and if they are unsure one way or the other then leave it as an odd unexplained point.
I love watching Ghost Hunters and GHI but sometimes they frustrate me when they try to pander to the unimaginative aspects of the scientific community and have to either prove or disprove everything to the point of ignoring or dismissing any points of mystery then that misses one of the aspects that the show represents and it limits their thinking on the situation and their investigative integrity.

I think Shamalan's career started strong. The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were great, Signs and The Village were good, and after that... We already posted a lot of negative stuff about them.

I think this was an interesting choice for Shamalan. He wants to get out of the thriller genre, and I think he does have the eye for the cinematography necessary. I still have my doubts about it. I hope it will be good.

If the movie is great, do you think the Racebending will be footnote to the story?

Unfortunately episode 6 Omega suffered a composite event and went on a wilderness hike to South America. We've contacted it's handler and after it's treatment it shall not go off mission again.

Shar is a Night Wisp, as far as I am in book one they have not revealed much about where she comes from. I do know that they can only be seen at night, are confess-able and can not live apart from each other for too long without facing death.

The SOT Wiki puts the Night Wisp's lands close to the Agaden Reach in the Midlands.

In a latter book we get to learn more about the Night Wisps as we follow Richard and Zedd in their travel to Barracus' library which is in the lands of the Night Wisps

I suppose I am just sick of io9 and all of the Gawker media companies. io9 is a hater site, and I get frustrated when I see blogs I like to read citing them, especially when it is a post that has absolutely no merit at all.

I want people to start ignoring the hatemongers at io9 and all of their imitators. The comic book guy is funny on the Simpsons, but we don't need so many (not to mention such a high profile one) out there stinking up the place.

I try not to write rant posts. I usually only do it when something snaps inside me and I'm mad as hell and not willing to take it anymore.

I love Club Jade, it is one of my favorite blogs. I am sorry if I upset you. I didn't intend to attack you, just the annoyance that is io9. I apologize if I didn't say that forcibly enough.

Keep up the good work, and should I go "bat crap crazy" again, I will be sure to focus on the target better.
