Oooh so this is what Lazyfeed is. I have a flow with my aggregating triage (Google Reader, Twitter Search, and Facebook) that ANOTHER similar service to log-in to doesn't really excite me... especially since there seems to be: (1) no method to share (2) no mobile interface or iPhone app (2) and the algorithm pulls up loose keyword searches. The third point is discouraging, for I do not want to sift through old data to quickly inform myself. (points 1-3 found via Steve R.)

The founder seems like a nice guy (I hope birthday boy James guy got his invite!) but frankly, I'm sticking with good 'ole reliable Google search. :)

Funny how we're both saying the same things in different ways and topics. I just said on FriendFeed today: "But it's 2009 - we are more connected than ever. There should be something bigger we can all do. It's too bad the ones with the loudest voices and insane reaches don't place social relevance on their digital activities. Sad."

I truly don't understand why people are giving them props. Their marketing strategy was a fail. It's Eminem, the buzz should've been through the roof. John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston's break-up created more attention. :)

I hope the object lesson is learned here from corporate America - you must understand (not game) social media to do business on a national and global scale. If you are a top 100 brand like Amazon, you need to have much smarter people as corporate spokesmen than the ones that were engaged in combating this weekend.

What a PR NIGHTMARE for Amazon. I knew there was some sort of explanation, since Amazon would be committing corporate suicide if they intentionally removed GLBT items. Frankly, I'm more amazed at how FAST this spread -- especially since it's Easter Sunday, and extremely curious to see how this may or may not impact Amazon, as well as the digital marketing space.

Hmmm perhaps our definitions of Social Media are different. I take the term as it is: being social in media -- keyword here, being "social". I am not sure how you define social, but to me being social is engaging with all and any who want to connect with me and vice versa. I think it has to do more with finding your own groove and balance. That way, you can maintain relationships without it being a burden. Currently, I have Facebook, Twitter, FriendFeed, blogs, and e-mail that help me out. I just feel fortunate people want to connect with me that I value every single connection that comes my way.

Bottomline: to each their own.

I looked at the Tweet exchange and I seriously wonder what Loic is thinking. First he causes a stink about followers and unfollowing people, then he picks a public fight? Seriously, doesn't Loic have better things to do? Liiiiike... implement grouping feature on Twihrl or something? I really question his motives. Is he bored? Does he want attention? I don't get it. :(

Sarah - this is EXACTLY how I feel and it's to the point where I don't know what do. Even when I disconnected Twitter and only promote some tech news, it is still update overload... I can't even imagine how many times you update, since you Tweet out several articles a day for RWW. -sigh- I wonder what FB's solution will be...

Though I highly value and respect your opinion Duncan, she just rubs me the wrong way. The first time I saw her was on Gnomedex's live stream screaming into the camera insulting the viewers. CLASSY. Then when I Googled her, I watched a few of her videos (Google talk's author day and the infamous Mark Zuckerberg interview) that made me cringe. THEN I saw her on Yahoo Finance where she conducted another extremely unprofessional interview with her guest- talking over him and acting like an airhead. Hopefully she'll change my mind at TC, since you hold her in such high regard.
